Nintendo has officially revealed that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will be released on December 4, 2025. Metroid Prime 4: Beyon d was one of the most eagerly awaited games of the recent Nintendo Direct, and fans will likely be glad to see it being launched so soon.
Metroid Prime 4 was originally unveiled during E3 2017, and it has been in development for quite a long time. Earlier this year, speculation regarding a possible release date for the game began to grow, as Metroid Prime 4: Beyond was rated in multiple countries, including the United States, Brazil, and South Korea. Some leaks even suggested that the title could be released as soon as this month, but it seems gamers will still have to wait a while longer.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Release Date
- December 4, 2025
Nintendo revealed some new gameplay footage of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond during the recent Nintendo Direct, confirming that the title will be available on December 4, 2025. In the trailer, it’s possible to see Samus Aran riding a bike, which seems like a useful gameplay addition to explore the planet Viewros. Aside from the release date, Nintendo also unveiled “Metroid Prime 1-3: A Visual Retrospective,” an illustrated book that will be available on October 28, and some new amiibos. Two amiibos, one featuring Samus alone, and the other one with her and the Vi-O-La motorbike, will be released on November 6, while a Sylux amiibbo will be available on December 4 with the game’s release.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond players will certainly have their hands full when the title finally releases, hopefully marking a triumphant return for the franchise. While other Metroid titles, such as 2021’s Metroid Dread, 2017’s Samus Returns, and 2010’s Metroid: Other M, have been released since then, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption was launched in 2007, and the subseries went 18 years without a proper sequel. With the addition of the Vi-O-La bike and psychic powers, it’s also possible that the new entry will have quite distinct gameplay, while continuing to evolve the first-person shooter mechanics that mark the subseries.
In any case, gamers will soon discover even more details about Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, as Nintendo is likely to ramp up the marketing for the game in the next months. Hopefully, the title will end up as one of the best Metroid games of all time, feeling like a worthy sequel to the original Metroid Prime trilogy.
