For the latter, she can take control of ancient mechanisms to unlock doors. For the former, Samus can now change the trajectory of her Arm Cannon’s blasts to take down multiple enemies in a single shot. This isn’t the only surprise in store for Samus in Metroid Prime 4, as the end of the trailer sees her don a new suit of red and black power armor.

The origins of this new suit and powers seem to be the focus of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond’s story, which sees Samus searching for a way off Viewros after being mysteriously transported there.
