There's a room called the Sanctum of Guardians in Metroid Prime 4's first area, Fury Green, that has a Psychic Recording Data Playback Device. If you go to this room before confronting the boss of the dungeon, you will have no luck figuring out what you're supposed to do in there.

This Metroid Prime 4: Beyond guide will explain what the Sanctum of the Guardians is used for and how to solve its "puzzle."

What to do in Fury Green's Sanctum of the Guardians in Metroid Prime 4

Boss Logs

The Sanctum of the Guardians room is actually not really a puzzle. It's a way for players to unlock the data log for every major boss in Metroid Prime 4 (if you happened to miss scanning one of them during the fight).

If you leave the Sanctum and head through the big door to the south, it'll lead you to a boss fight with Carvex in the Garden of Remembrance. Once you defeat the boss, you will unlock Psychic Bombs for your Morph Ball mode. Make your way back to the Sanctum of the Guardians, and you will notice something has changed.

Look at the second statue from the left, and you'll spot a psychic node you can pick up in Visor mode. Place the node into the device in the middle of the room, and then move the glowing purple crystal into the correct slot (the one in the 10:00 slot on the upper left).

This will create a hologram of Carvex (the boss you just fought), so you can scan it and enter its entry into the data log. If you've already managed to scan the boss during the fight, then you don't need to worry about this.

It seems that all five major bosses in Metroid Prime 4 will have their holograms added in this room once you defeat them, so you should be able to come back later if you need the logs.
