The Space Jump Boots are an upgrade in Metroid Prime Remastered that players will obtain in the Tallon Overworld's Alcove. This upgrade effectively gives Samus a double-jump, which can be used to reach areas that have been inaccessible up to this point in the game. This walkthrough is here to provide further details on those areas, and it will help players continue to progress after getting the Space Jump Boots in Metroid Prime Remastered.
Metroid Prime Remastered: After Space Jump Boots Walkthrough
After getting the Space Jump Boots in Metroid Prime Remastered, players are advised to stop by Samus's ship at the Landing Site in order to make a save. While fans are at this location, they should also pick up a Missile Expansion from a Morph Ball tunnel that is situated just behind the ship. Players should then climb the platforms that are across from the ship, pass behind the waterfall, and use the door to enter the Temple Hall.
This hallway will lead players to the Temple Security Station, and they should make sure to scan the Pirate Data that they encounter while passing through to the Artifact Temple. Upon entering the Temple, Metroid Prime Remastered players should look left and right to find two Chozo Lore entries that can be scanned. Fans should then head downward to find the first Artifact, and it and all the surrounding pillars should be scanned before leaving the room.
At this point, players should work their way back to Magmoor Caverns East. For full clarity, here is a route that fans can use to quickly reach this area:
- Landing Site -> Canyon Cavern -> Tallon Canyon -> Root Tunnel -> Root Cave -> Transport Tunnel B -> Magmoor Caverns East Elevator
Magmoor Caverns
After descending into the Magmoor Caverns, fans should set their sights on the Monitor Station. Notably, players that find themselves stuck in the Fiery Shores as they attempt to reach that room should look for several crates that block access to a Morph Ball maze. Indeed, this maze will help Metroid Prime Remastered's Samus Aran continue advancing through the Fiery Shores, and players can even pick up a Missile Expansion if they get to the end.
Once fans finally reach Monitor Station, they should head up to the bridge that leads to the Phendrana Drifts North elevator. There is an elevated platform to the left of this bridge, which players can now access with the help of the Space Jump Boots. From this platform, players should jump up one more level and proceed to the top of Monitor Station's central building.
Here, fans will find a terminal and Spinner, both of which should be scanned. Players should then enter the Spinner in Morph Ball form and use Metroid Prime Remastered's Boost Ball repeatedly. This action will cause a bridge to be raised, and fans should cross it and follow the path ahead to reach the Warrior Shrine, a room that is home to the Artifact of Strength.
Phendrana Drifts
With that Artifact scanned and collected, players should return to the aforementioned bridge in Monitor Station and make their way to the Phendrana Drifts North elevator. Once fans reach this snowy level in Metroid Prime Remastered, they should continue toward the Phendrana Shorelines and stop by the Save Station in that area. After a save has been made, fans should exit the Save Station, head to the left, and use the Space Jump Boots to reach one of the hovering platforms.
These hovering platforms can be used to jump to the door that leads to the Temple Entryway, which should be crossed in order to access the Chozo Ice Temple. In this room, players should scan an Ice Parasite and use the platforms that line the perimeter to climb to an icy hallway that terminates at a Chozo Shaman statue. There are several statue heads embedded into walls of this hallway, and Metroid fans should scan them in order to identify the Shaman head.
The Shaman head in the hallway must then be hit with a Missile in Metroid Prime Remastered to reveal a Morph Ball slot. Placing a Morph Ball Bomb inside that slot will open a gate that is situated next to the large statue, and fans that pass through it will reach the Chapel Tunnel. In this Morph Ball section, players must use Morph Ball Bombs on metal plates to access a lower path. This path can then be used to reach the base of several pillars, which fans can lower with Morph Ball Bombs.
The Chapel of Elders is on the other side of the tunnel, and it is in this room that fans must beat Sheegoth in Metroid Prime Remastered. Players will receive the Wave Beam when that job is done, and they can use this new weapon to finally open purple doors and dispatch Bombus.
Metroid Prime Remastered is available now for Nintendo Switch.
