In almost all instances, Pirate Data Log Book entries are secured by scanning computer terminals that display a red Scan Point. Metroid Prime Remastered players are thus advised to simply equip the Scan Visor in the rooms that are indicated in the following table and look for red squares.

While most of the Research Log Book entires are quite easy to secure, there are a few that can be missed.
