Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is an upcoming movie in the DC Universe (DCU). It follows the journey of Superman's cousin, Kara Zor-El, from the cosmos to Earth. Alcock, star of The House of the Dragon, was officially cast in the titular role in January 2024. DCU's co-chairman and co-CEO James Gunn decided to cast Alcock because she embodies "edge, grace, and authenticity," which is necessary for this version of Supergirl. Meanwhile, Momoa's casting as Lobo was confirmed in December 2024. Momoa's addition to the casting excites fans, especially since he has been interested in playing the intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo. Many are interested in seeing the pair's look in the upcoming movie, and leaked videos from the set may have just revealed it.

‘Pretty Dead On’ DCU Star Says Their Supergirl Movie Role Is ‘Exactly Like The Character’ In The Comics

One of the Supergirl stars is very proud of the adaptation of their character because it's reportedly faithful to the material.

A video taken from the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow set leaked online. In the clip shared on YouTube, Alcock can be seen rocking Supergirl's classic blonde hair, blue bodysuit, gold belt, and red cape, skirt, and boots. The details are not visible because the footage is taken from afar. However, there is a noticeable design on the chest, colored yellow and red with the "S" sign. The shade of blue was visibly lighter. Alcock's Supergirl costume doesn't deviate from the usual.

The Leaked Costumes For Supergirl And Lobo Seem To Be Extremely Comic Book-Accurate

In another clip, Alcock can be seen filming with another actor, and from the look of it, based on the build and height, Alcock's Supergirl has a face-off with Momoa's Lobo. The details of his costume are not obvious, but there's a hint of black leather. The shoulder pads and gloves are also visible. Additionally, Momoa is holding a battleaxe. Although it's difficult to describe the intricate details, Momoa previously said that his Lobo look is "pretty dead on" and "exactly like the character." He also described his Lobo version as "rough and gruff." Momoa had been very enthusiastic about playing Lobo even before he was cast in Supergirl for a cameo because it's his dream role. So hearing him describe his looks as comic-accurate is really exciting.

Supergirl's last sighting on the big screen was in The Flash (2023), where Sasha Calle played the character. Alcock's costume is noticeably different from Calle's. The latter did not wear a skirt but rocked a form-fitting suit for a minimalist look. Her suit was also noticeably made from a tech-enhanced, alien-like fabric similar to Henry Cavill's Superman costume.

As for Momoa's Lobo, even if the footage was taken from a distance, it appears that he is every bit in character. This is not difficult to accomplish since Momoa has Lobo's towering height, muscular build, long hair, and intimidating presence. Aside from the looks, Momoa's personality matches Lobo's. Both like bike and Momoa is very natural in portraying loud, confident and even sarcastic characters. He was so good at playing the main villain, Dante Reyes, in Fast X. There is no doubt that he could pull off the character. The leaked videos only make fans even more excited about the DCU film.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will hit theaters on June 26, 2026.
