In a new blog post, Mojang has revealed the complete patch notes of the Poisonous Potato update. A plethora of things in the game have given a poisonous potato theme including but not limited to blocks, mobs, and even paintings. Perhaps one of the funniest parts of the update is the full Poisonous Potato armor set, which when equipped, will destroy nearby mobs due to its poisonous effects. Items like couches and lamps have also been given a poisonous touch. In fact, even Minecraft's weather effects didn't get spared, as rain has been turned green in the snapshot.
There is also a Poisonous Potato dimension along with five new Minecraft biomes. The new dimension can be accessed through the Potato Portal, which can be unlocked by placing a Poisonous Potato on a pedestal. That's not all, as players will also be able to encounter a new boss named Mega Spud, Potatolord of the Fried Legion.
One of the most requested items has been a Frying Table, and the snapshot allows players to craft an array of items using Poisonous Potatoes. However, the biggest highlight of the update has been the gadgets. Minecraft fans have been asking for a grappling hook for quite a while now, and this update turns it into reality by adding the Lashing Potato. There is also a Potato Peeler that deals extra damage to Potato mobs. Like every year, Mojang Studios has once again impressed the community with how expansive the April Fool's update is. However, this time around, fans are a bit disappointed considering that several of their much-requested items have been added as part of a prank, but were never released in Minecraft.
