- A fan UI concept enhances Minecraft boss fights with themed design updates.
- Mojang values fan input for game inspiration, including potential boss fight improvements.
A talented Minecraft fan online has shared an awesome UI concept that would massively improve the game's boss fights. This Minecraft concept addresses the visuals of the boss fight UI, which have never really been updated by Mojang.
Because Minecraft was released so long ago and still receives new and updated content to this day, fan input is important when it comes to inspiration from which Mojang can draw. Luckily, the fans have never been shy about sharing their ideas to help improve and shape the future of Minecraft. Just recently, one Minecraft fan even shared their idea to make the upcoming Happy Ghast mob even better, which is impressive considering it hasn't even been released yet.
Minecraft’s New Mob Could Hold the Key to Its Next Evolution
Minecraft's new Ghastling and Happy Ghast mobs show there's a lot of room for new creatures, especially those bridging dimensions and lore.
Redditor DaL4y shared their Minecraft concept artwork, which redesigns the boss fight health bar UI to take on a much more themed look. There are designs for the Ender Dragon, the Wither, and Raids, all of which look much more impressive than their current in-game equivalents. Some users did point out that visibility could be an issue in the playable UI, especially with the large faces of the Wither, but it's something that could be easily solved with a longer bar if actually used in-game.
This Minecraft UI Idea Would Improve Boss Fights
As a proof of concept, this would be an easy way to spice up Minecraft's boss fights, which have largely gone without substantial changes for a long time. Naturally, Mojang will always be looking for areas of the game that it could change without using too many resources. While the developer doesn't have to use the exact designs that DaL4y has created, it would be a cool addition.
In terms of additions that are definitely coming to the game, Minecraft fans have plenty to look forward to in the near future. The recent Minecraft Live Spring 2025 event revealed tons of cool content dropping soon, including the impressive Vibrant Visuals update that will give Minecraft a big visual overhaul. That's not to mention the Ghastling and Happy Ghast mobs, which provide an interesting overhaul to a classic design.
