Countless items have been replicated in Minecraft since it was released in 2011 through Creative or Survival Mode, fans have made many unique creations with the sandbox game's building options. One Minecraft player has recently decided to highlight their version of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion's Imperial City in Creative Mode in which they used an enormous amount of blocks of various colors.
Reddit user Branman1234 shared a video of their Oblivion-inspired creation in Minecraft yesterday which shows their fully completed layout of Imperial City. In The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, this circular city acts as a significant quest and trade hub, and although the Minecraft duplicate that's built roughly to scale is missing the nameless and memorable NPCs alike, it still looms impressively on the map. The true size of the Minecraft Imperial City is shown through the video as it unfolds, and the buildings pop in while the game struggles to load all the pieces.
Branman1234's Minecraft clip begins with the player facing the long bridge over their version of Lake Rumare and instead of crossing through the various gates along the pathway, the Minecraft player opts to float over the bridge to the city's primary entrance. This Minecraft Imperial City includes everything an Oblivion fan would expect like the Arcane University, Market District, Temple District, Imperial Prison, and breathtaking Imperial City Waterfront. The aerial view shows the attention to detail in creating the city layout as effectively as possible, while the mini-map gives Minecraft fans more of an impression of how it was created.
One of the notably detailed locations in Branman1234's Minecraft Imperial City is the Arena from the fittingly named Arena District which usually offers Oblivion fans gladiatorial combat in exchange for rewards. The Elven Gardens District has also been fleshed out with the plethora of vegetation offered in Minecraft, while the Thieves Guild is fittingly tucked away just outside of the city walls. The massive white-gold tower of Oblivion's Imperial City is effectively represented in Branman1234's replicated city as more of the landmark pops into existence the closer the player gets to the massive monument.
Although a lot of Branman1234's Minecraft Imperial City is a mix of white, gray, brown, and green, the aesthetic effectively reflects the Oblivion location. The Minecraft fan has stated that though many buildings are untouched, some of them have interior decorations as well, which points to another reason why this city took the player two years to make. It's currently unclear if the Minecraft and Oblivion fan intends to add more detail to parts of their Imperial City or if they'll be moving on to their next project now that the build has been unveiled.
