One Minecraft player has imagined what the Krusty Krab from SpongeBob SquarePants would look like with a blocky aesthetic, and the results are impressive. While SpongeBob SquarePants has received official DLC for Minecraft in the past, that has not stopped creative fans from building their own renditions of beloved locales from Bikini Bottom in the game.

As the primary eatery in SpongeBob SquarePants, the Krusty Krab is instantly recognizable to fans of the classic Nickolodeon cartoon. Over the years, the restaurant, run by Mr. Krabs and staffed by SpongeBob and Squidward, has been featured as a central location in many episodes. While the cast of characters that eat there is memorable, the undersea restaurant famous for selling Krabby Patties has a design that has helped set the unique atmosphere of the show. Recently, one gamer decided to pay tribute to the underwater eating establishment through an impressive Minecraft build.

Taking to Reddit, one SpongeBob fan known as Nukeri showcased their Krusty Krab build in a series of screenshots. Using the many blocks in Minecraft, the player managed to make a stunning replica of the undersea eatery, recreating the exterior and interior designs. Starting with the outside, the player built the iconic clamshell sign seen by the road. In addition, the main building featured the wooden lobster trap-like appearance the restaurant was known for. The player even set the build against a flowery background.

Impressively, Nukeri found creative ways of replicating the inside of the Krusty Krab. For example, the player used various blocks to recreate the tables and chairs along with the boat-like counter. The design even featured a representation of Squidward, and SpongBob’s fry cook hat could be seen sticking out from behind the window leading to the kitchen.

When sharing the post, Nukeri quoted the classic Patrick Star line, “Hello, Is this the Krusty Krab?" Unsurprisingly, this incredible replica of Mr. Krab’s restaurant has been a hit on Reddit. With more than 1.9K upvotes already, numerous gamers applauded Nukeri’s attention to detail in the design. In addition, many fans quoted other memorable lines from SpongeBob SquarePants episodes.

This Krusty Krab recreation is another example of the creativity of the Minecraft community. With gamers regularly sharing incredible builds on the game’s subreddit, it will be interesting to see if Nukeri’s design inspires more SpongeBob SquarePants-related projects. There are many other memorable locations from Bikini Bottom, such as The Chum Bucket and Squidward’s Easter Island Head, to name a few, that would make for exciting Minecraft builds in the future.

Minecraft is a game made up of blocks, creatures, and community. You can survive the night or build a work of art – the choice is all yours. But if the thought of exploring a vast new world all on your own feels overwhelming, then fear not!

Minecraft has no set goal and can be played however you’d like! This is why it’s sometimes called a “sandbox game” – there are lots of things for you to do, and lots of ways that you can play. If you like being creative, then you can use the blocks to build things from your imagination. If you’re feeling brave, you can explore the world and face daring challenges. Blocks can be broken, crafted, placed to reshape the landscape, or used to build fantastical creations.

Creatures can be battled or befriended, depending on how you play. The world of Minecraft allows for epic adventures, quiet meditations, and everything in between. You can even share your creations with other players, or play in community worlds!
