That said, it can be hard to understand exactly what Minecraft Legends is all about, and there are a few questions regarding the full scope of Mojang’s action-strategy spin-off that are still left unanswered.

Is Minecraft Legends Open World?

Much like Minecraft before it, Minecraft Legends offers a fully procedurally generated open world, but it is significantly smaller than its sandbox predecessor. Due to its RTS elements, Minecraft Legends prefers to scale down its open world to a smaller, more arena-like structure where the focus is on fighting Piglin bases and defending the towns inside that world.

However, each new save file spawns a completely new procedurally generated world, unique to that seed, with plenty of things to rediscover, including chests, outposts, towers, and mob homesteads.

Does Minecraft Legends Have Multiplayer?

Yes, Minecraft Legends includes two multiplier offerings: co-op and PvP. By default, the single-player campaign lets players' friends jump in and out of their worlds and help each other fight back the Piglin hordes. At higher difficulty levels, co-op is almost necessary to fight back multiple Piglin invasions throughout the night.

For the more competitive-oriented gamer, Minecraft Legends’ PvP portion allows two teams of up to four players to partake in base warfare. Players will need to gather resources, level up their tools, fortify their defenses, and work together to siege the opponent’s base and destroy their Wellspring. Competitive multiplayer in Minecraft Legends is a far briefer experience than the PvE portion, taking up to 30 minutes for one match.

How Much is Minecraft Legends?

Being a smaller off-shoot Minecraft title developed by Blackbird Interactive and Mojang, Minecraft Legends will retail for $39.99. However, the game does offer a slightly more expensive Deluxe Edition for $49.99. Is Minecraft Legends Coming to Game Pass?

Minecraft Legends will be available on day one for Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
