The next Minecraft Live broadcast could take place as early as September 22, according to sources that stated Mojang accidentally revealed the date via a website error. Although the Minecraft development team has not officially confirmed when the next Minecraft Live stream will be, the supposed September 22 date would mark six months since the previous live event.

On March 22, the previous episode of Minecraft Live offered fans an extended glimpse into A Minecraft Movie before its April 4 launch in US theaters. Along with the extended movie trailer, Minecraft Live also revealed new features that were added to the game throughout the spring and summer through multiple updates. Some of the features that were revealed during Minecraft Live's spring episode included the Happy Ghast mount, a friendly Ghastling creature that can be found around the Soulsand Valley biome in the Nether, and the Vibrant Visuals shaders as part of a Bedrock Edition update that launched on the same day.

A new Minecraft snapshot update for August 2025 is out now, adding some new features and making a few tweaks to blocks and items.

The Next Minecraft Live Episode Could Air on September 22

While the March episode of Minecraft Live had plenty of content for fans to consume, the date of the next stream may have been revealed by accident. As spotted by Insider Gaming, Mojang’s Spanish site stated that the next Minecraft Live stream would air on Monday, September 22, at 1:00 PM Eastern. The leaked date appeared in the FAQ section of Minecraft's official Spanish website, but is completely absent from the English version. If proven true, it would mark six months to the day since the previous Minecraft Live episode, and would line up with when some of Minecraft' s planned content for the fall could go live. As of this writing, Mojang has not officially announced when the next Minecraft Live episode will air, so fans must take the rumored date with a fine grain of salt.

As for what could be shown off during the next Minecraft Live broadcast, the Fall Drop and its focus on all things copper could be the key point of the stream. Additional features planned for the rest of 2025 and into 2026 could also make appearances, should the Minecraft Live episode be confirmed. The surprise third drop of 2025 was announced by Mojang on July 1, and some of its content is now available for testing on the Bedrock Edition beta and Java Edition snapshot builds. Players can opt into testing these experimental features from the Minecraft launcher on PC by selecting the preview tab and following the instructions to install any related files onto their machines.

While Minecraft players have plenty of items to test ahead of the Fall Drop content update, Mojang could save some surprises for Minecraft Live viewers to enjoy. Only time will tell when the next episode of Minecraft Live will be officially revealed.

Minecraft is a game made up of blocks, creatures, and community. You can survive the night or build a work of art – the choice is all yours. But if the thought of exploring a vast new world all on your own feels overwhelming, then fear not!

Minecraft has no set goal and can be played however you’d like! This is why it’s sometimes called a “sandbox game” – there are lots of things for you to do, and lots of ways that you can play. If you like being creative, then you can use the blocks to build things from your imagination. If you’re feeling brave, you can explore the world and face daring challenges. Blocks can be broken, crafted, placed to reshape the landscape, or used to build fantastical creations.

Creatures can be battled or befriended, depending on how you play. The world of Minecraft allows for epic adventures, quiet meditations, and everything in between. You can even share your creations with other players, or play in community worlds!
