A Minecraft player has added a bounce enchantment to the Mace, sharing its impressive results. Minecraft periodically gets new content through snapshots, which give a preview of upcoming features coming to the game. These features range from new biomes to mobs, commands, and weapons, further expanding the already vast world of Mojang's sandbox.
This year, one of the additions that stole the attention of Minecraft players was the addition of seven new wolf variants. The variants have given one of the Minecraft community's most beloved mobs different designs, which players can find in specific biomes. But what's got the Minecraft community talking in recent days is the addition of the Mace in snapshot 24w11a. With this new weapon, Minecraft players can deliver powerful blows to enemies, adding a new layer of fun to their gameplay.

A Minecraft player shares some curious information, and reveals the origins of the new wolf variants recently added to the sandbox.
Reddit user MrMakistein added a bounce enchantment to the Mace, making the Minecraft weapon even more overpowered. In the clip shared by the Minecraft player, they appear jumping with the Mace to attack a chicken and kill it, then bouncing and jumping to kill a villager with the Mace. After bouncing a second time, they gain momentum and reach a significant height before falling and hitting another villager. It's worth noting that the Minecraft player doesn't take fall damage when making the three jumps, thanks to the Mace's special ability to cancel it.
Minecraft Player Customizes the Mace with Enchantments, Makes the Weapon Even More Powerful
On their YouTube channel, MrMakistein demonstrated how they coded the Minecraft Mace with five different enchantments, since the weapon cannot be enchanted. As well as adding Bounce 3 to the weapon, the player enchants the Mace with Shockwave 3, Lightning 3, Trickshot 5, and Pummeling 3. They then demonstrated how overpowered the Mace could become if Mojang allowed players to use Minecraft's enchantments as they can do with swords. They also add a special effect if the weapon is in the player's main hand, giving the Mace more attack damage and attack speed.
Although it's not officially available yet, Minecraft players are already demonstrating just how broken the Mace can be in its default version. With the addition of enchantments just as the OP did, it's something that could significantly change Minecraft, leading Mojang to make adjustments to the weapon before its official release. For players waiting for its arrival, the Mace will be one of the contents of Minecraft update 1.21. Still no release date or official name, this will be Minecraft's first big update since Trails and Tales. The patch will make significant changes to Minecraft, like the introduction of armor trims, Wind Charge, Trial Chambers, and the new Armadillo mob.

Minecraft is a game made up of blocks, creatures, and community. You can survive the night or build a work of art – the choice is all yours. But if the thought of exploring a vast new world all on your own feels overwhelming, then fear not!
Minecraft has no set goal and can be played however you’d like! This is why it’s sometimes called a “sandbox game” – there are lots of things for you to do, and lots of ways that you can play. If you like being creative, then you can use the blocks to build things from your imagination. If you’re feeling brave, you can explore the world and face daring challenges. Blocks can be broken, crafted, placed to reshape the landscape, or used to build fantastical creations.
Creatures can be battled or befriended, depending on how you play. The world of Minecraft allows for epic adventures, quiet meditations, and everything in between. You can even share your creations with other players, or play in community worlds!
