Minecraft also has blocks such as Prismarine, Blackstone, and Diorite, which in addition to having a differentiated texture, can be crafted into different block variations that players use to bring their constructions to life. Reddit user BIT-root has created a mod that adds chalk to Minecraft. By installing the mod named Arts and Crafts, Minecraft players find chalk blocks high up in mountain biomes. They can also craft white chalk using two blocks of Calcite and two of Gypsum, a new block added by the mod. Players can make chalk sticks by placing a block in a Stonecutter. With the chalk sticks, Minecraft players can color the blocks in 16 colors. Using the chalk sticks leaves Chalk Dust on the blocks, with Minecraft players able to choose from the 33 available patterns.

Minecraft Mod Gives the Game an Artistic Twist by Adding Chalk in Different Colors

The Arts and Crafts mod is available on Curseforge and can be downloaded for free. In addition to chalk blocks and sticks, it allows Minecraft players to dye their decorated pots. Decorated pots were added in Minecraft's Trails and Tales update, but only come in brown. The mod created by the OP adds paintbrushes, a lotus flower, plaster, shingles, and a soapstone block. Another Arts and Crafts addition is cork wood, which is found in the Savannah biome.

Other Minecraft players have praised BIT-root's work, with some pointing out how chalk would be a nice way of implementing more pastel tones into the game. After all, although Minecraft has a significant number of wood colors and dyes, it is still limited. With this mod, the player expands Minecraft's dye feature, taking it to a new level and delivering an even more fun experience in a simple way.

Minecraft is a game made up of blocks, creatures, and community. You can survive the night or build a work of art – the choice is all yours. But if the thought of exploring a vast new world all on your own feels overwhelming, then fear not!

Minecraft has no set goal and can be played however you’d like! This is why it’s sometimes called a “sandbox game” – there are lots of things for you to do, and lots of ways that you can play. If you like being creative, then you can use the blocks to build things from your imagination. If you’re feeling brave, you can explore the world and face daring challenges. Blocks can be broken, crafted, placed to reshape the landscape, or used to build fantastical creations.

Creatures can be battled or befriended, depending on how you play. The world of Minecraft allows for epic adventures, quiet meditations, and everything in between. You can even share your creations with other players, or play in community worlds!
