With one of the largest modding scenes on the internet, the Minecraft fanbase is always on the lookout for something new. When planning out a massive build, one of the trickiest parts is what to put inside it. The community has had to do with minimal interior decorating options thanks to Mojang preferring to focus on overhauling the more significant aspects of the game.
Thankfully, there are a whole host of mods for players to choose from that add all kinds of decorative and functional furniture. Players no longer have to make DIY chairs out of trapdoors. They can instead put a proper one down and sit on it like normal.
Updated July 11th, 2024 by Russ Boswell: Minecraft continues to captivate players well after its initial release. Although there are many players out there that have exhausted the Vanilla version of Minecraft many times over, there are still dedicated modders that are doing their best to give players new tools and items to extend their playtime and unlock their creativity even further. There are some great mods out there that add new and unusual pieces of furniture to the building game, giving players even more options to decorate their homes and bases. To better showcase some of the best furniture mods in Minecraft, the following list has been updated with even more entries.

Players can transform their Minecraft world into anything they see fit with the use of mods, as there are many that are capable of changing biomes, mobs, and even visual styles. Texture Packs themselves can make Vanilla Minecraft look like something entirely different, transforming worlds into Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Medieval variants of themselves. Those looking for furniture that fits into the latter genre have a lot of options, but Nef's Medieval Decoration has over 700 blocks that are reminiscent of castles and old-world countrysides.
This pack has been downloaded by millions of Minecraft fans and it's easy to see why, a lot of love and labor went into this add-on.

While some like their furniture mods to be extravagant, outstanding, or modern, others prefer they blend in with Minecraft's signature style, which is where Crafts & Additions stands out. With both interior and exterior decorations, this mod uses all of Minecraft's vanilla textures creatively, ensuring nothing feels out of place in the world.
On the interior, there are working Bookshelves and Item Shelves, along with all the standard items players expect from their mods: kitchen drawers, countertops, tables, chairs, and stools. Exterior decorations cover things such as different types of fences, benches or hedges.
7 Storage Drawers

1.20.1 |
While this mod is more about the storage than the decoration, these drawers are a very visually pleasing way to store lots of items. Gone are the days of filling a room to bursting with chests and having to label them all individually. This mod does all the hard work for players.
Several different types of drawers can be made, but they all take the same basic shape Players can put an item into a drawer from their hand. That drawer will then display exactly what is in there for future reference. Players can get things out with just a click of a button, too, with the option to take out stacks or individual items. This mod is not only efficient, but it makes storing items a lot prettier in the process and is already available for Minecraft's latest version.
6 Decocraft

1.18.2 |
For players who want a little bit of everything in their furniture mods, Decocraft is the place to go. This mod does a great job of the standard stuff like tables and chairs, but it goes above and beyond when creating all kinds of fun decorations and objects to put inside and outside the house.
Using a unique crafting system, players can look through a list and select whatever their heart desires. From seating like Sofas or Lawn chairs to less-common objects like a Honey Pot or a Harp. There's bound to be something for everyone in a mod like this, with near-endless possibilities and new stuff still being added.
5 Exline's Furniture

Exline's mod is a curious one because it straddles the line between upholding Minecraft' s core themes and injecting the modern world into the game. Some of the items might feel a bit out of place in the world, but they have a unique Minecraft- flavored touch to them that makes them work.
For example, a TV is the kind of item that wouldn't feel right in a Minecraft world, but the texture work fits right in, and the retro-style gives the kind of throwback quality that makes the game's graphical style a hit. It has items for every room in a standard house, so players won't need to worry about what they will do with all their interior space.
4 Bibliocraft

A mod that's been around for a long time, Bibliocraft expanded far beyond its original idea. Originally designed as an immersive storage mod, it eventually expanded out into decorative furniture items, all of which hold a signature style. While it does use Minecraft's vanilla textures, the way in which it uses them feels unique to Bibliocraft.
This mod offers unique storage solutions for just about every type of item. Standard shelves for regular items, bookshelves for books, racks for records, and display cases for tools and weapons. On top of that, it has some vintage-style tables and chairs, along with golden lanterns and desk lamps to boot. The whole mod has a quiet dignity to it that players will love.
3 Chisel

Chisel is unique compared to all the other furniture mods. Rather than adding lots of new items like tables and chairs, it instead focuses on the blocks themselves. By adding loads of texture variations to just about every building block in the game (and some new ones), Chisel increases players' options for designing their walls & floors by a hundredfold.
The possibilities for this are seemingly endless. Not only will it give Minecraft's plainer blocks a new lease on life, but interior spaces can now be designed in endless new ways. When combined with any other furniture mod, Chisel allows players to create something vanilla players can barely even dream of.
2 MrCrayfish's Furniture

MrCrayfish's mod has gotten a reputation in the community for being the de-facto furniture mod for Minecraft, and it's clear to see why. It may not add quite as many items as Decocraft or go for realism like ModernArch, but it adds a wide variety of items with incredible polish on the designs.
With tables, desks, chairs, and sofas for just about every wood and stone type in the game, meaning they'll fit into any biome. These items are so well-designed they could easily be official Mojang features. There's such a huge variety to it as well. Every room in the house is covered, but there's plenty for the outdoors too. Whether players want a lovely paved garden or a wild campsite, this mod offers those possibilities.
