While exploring their world in Minecraft, a player found a Pillager Outpost that extended to an extremely high elevation. Minecraft players often make intriguing discoveries in the game, but this cloud-level Pillager Outpost might be one of the more unusual.

One of the significant draws of Minecraft is its open world, which gives players the license to explore however they want. Thanks to this freedom of exploration, players can come across all sorts of things during their travels. One of the more common is Pillager Outposts. These collections of structures are havens for Pillagers and can spawn in various Minecraft biomes. As a result of their widespread generation, players can find Pillager Outposts in some rather bizarre locations.

A Reddit user known as pushupi123 is among the players who found an unusual Pillager Outpost. While flying around their Minecraft Creative world, the player found what they described as potentially the “tallest Pillager Outpost ever generated.” In screenshots, the Pillagers’ watchtower had an extremely long base that extended above an enormous mountain. The structure was so tall that clouds filled the open platform at the top. According to the player, the incredible height of the Pillager Outpost was likely due to a glitch.

Gamer Finds Pillager Outpost at Incredibly High Elevation in Minecraft

The discovery has already caught players' attention on the game’s subreddit, with the post gaining hundreds of upvotes and many comments. Fortunately, pushupi123 shared the seed and the coordinates for those interested in checking out the Pillager Outpost for themselves. In the comment section, some players joked about how the watchtower reminded them of famous buildings in media and throughout history. In addition, one gamer even suggested renovating the structure by turning it into a skyscraper base instead. Furthermore, others recommended hollowing out the interior of the watchtower's base to make sublevels.

Beyond pushupi123's discovery, more unusual finds are shared with the community as players continue to play the game more than a decade after its initial release. In fact, the community has made other Pillager-related discoveries, including one fan who found a Pillager Outpost right next to a village in Minecraft. While villages and Pillager Outposts both spawn naturally throughout many parts of the game world, discovering them in such close proximity is not very common.

With Mojang continuing to update Minecraft regularly, it will be interesting to see if any new changes will come to spice up Pillagers and their bases. In the meantime, fans have come up with their own concepts, designing potential new Pillager structures for Minecraft that could make the gameplay more exciting, such as a prison. Time will tell if fan concepts like this ever make it into the game.

Minecraft is a game made up of blocks, creatures, and community. You can survive the night or build a work of art – the choice is all yours. But if the thought of exploring a vast new world all on your own feels overwhelming, then fear not!

Minecraft has no set goal and can be played however you’d like! This is why it’s sometimes called a “sandbox game” – there are lots of things for you to do, and lots of ways that you can play. If you like being creative, then you can use the blocks to build things from your imagination. If you’re feeling brave, you can explore the world and face daring challenges. Blocks can be broken, crafted, placed to reshape the landscape, or used to build fantastical creations.

Creatures can be battled or befriended, depending on how you play. The world of Minecraft allows for epic adventures, quiet meditations, and everything in between. You can even share your creations with other players, or play in community worlds!
