It is no secret that Minecraft is one of the most popular video games in the world, with numerous people playing it daily since its release over a decade ago. One of the reasons for the continued success of Mojang’s iconic game is due to the many ways it can be played. Beyond functioning as a survival game, a segment of the community has used the game as a means of expressing their artistic creativity, using the plethora of in-game blocks to build impressive structures.

Minecraft Concept Makes Deserts Less Boring

One creative member of the Minecraft modding community brings a neat detail to the game's desert environments to make them a little more interesting.

Recently, one player, known as Bubbaflubba on YouTube, leveraged the building possibilities of Minecraft to complete an incredibly ambitious project: creating every European country’s tallest building. The project required Bubbaflubba to construct 47 unique structures encompassing many architectural styles. While they had to build many skyscrapers, there were a few stand-out designs. For example, Bubbaflubba shared their replica of St. Peter’s Basilica from Vatican City, which reached 133 blocks in height thanks to its huge central dome. It is worth noting that the creator had made St. Peter’s Basilica as part of a previous building project they had done on their YouTube channel.

The Tallest Building in Each European Country Recreated in Minecraft

In addition to showcasing the finished in-game designs, the player provided a time-lapse of each structure being built, showcasing the impressive amount of blocks used in the creation process. Furthermore, the YouTube video included a shot panning across the completed buildings in order from shortest to tallest, giving an idea of the size of the structures and the diverse design choices on display. The creator also used the Shattered World Limits mod to increase the height limit to create some of the more massive structures. Despite not revealing the specific amount of time required to create the buildings, the impressive scale and level of detail evidence the work put into the project.

Interestingly, this latest building project from Bubbaflubba comes after the builder previously created each US state’s tallest building in Minecraft. Beyond these projects, the player has recreated numerous other objects and locations. Just a few examples of their building prowess include recreations of real-life football stadiums and even the solar system’s planets built to scale.

As building projects like Bubbaflubba’s evidence, Minecraft continues to be a source of inspiration for talented builders. Thanks to this continued engagement from the community, it is likely only a matter of time before even more creations from talented builders like Bubbaflubba appear on the internet.
