- The mountain gained attention on Reddit, with fans admiring its natural appearance and scale.
One Minecraft player has created a stunningly realistic mountain in the game, thanks to the help of third-party programs Gaea and WorldPainter. Many gamers enjoy creating impressive environments in the world of Minecraft, and this new mountain creation has stood out to the community.
One of the perks of Minecraft is the unique world generation. Thanks to this, players can come across some eye-catching landmarks during their time playing the game. In addition to natural generation, some gamers decide to take things further, using the many Minecraft blocks to design impressive custom terrain in the game. While these projects take many shapes, such as recreating real-world cities in Minecraft, they often contain lots of detail and thousands of individual blocks.
Minecraft Player Shares Neat Atmospheric Structure Designs
A talented Minecraft fan online creates some new atmospheric structure designs that could be used to add character to the game's biomes.
One of these terrain creation projects came via a Reddit user known as kintsukuroiy. In a recent post, the gamer shared a picture of the mountain they created. The screenshot showed the player next to a body of water with the towering mountain in the background. Impressively, the formation looked very natural. The bottom of the mountain had a green appearance, matching what were likely trees. This greenery gradually diminished further up in elevation, with gray rock becoming prevalent. The creator finished the mountain by adding white blocks around the peak, simulating snow. According to kintsukuroiy, they used third-party programs like Gaea and WorldPainter to create the breathtaking scenery. While they claimed no Minecraft mods were used in building the mountain, the Distant Horizons mod was used to increase the view distance.
Minecraft Player's Realistic Mountain
This realistic-looking mountain has caught the attention of Reddit users on the Minecraftbuilds subreddit. So far, the post has gained more than 2.4K upvotes, with many agreeing with kintsukuroiy’s claim that this was “the most beautiful mountain” they have ever made. Among the comments, some wondered how tall the mountain was, to which the creator revealed it was 2,000 blocks high.
It is worth noting that this is only one creation shared by kintsukuroiy. In addition, they have made other striking land formations in the game that players can check out on their Reddit page. In addition, many other gamers have taken inspiration from the real world to create impressive designs. For example, one Reddit user known as KB_Craft_Creations previously made a realistic pine forest in Minecraft, containing a similar level of detail.
With more content coming to the game throughout 2025, it will be interesting to see what fans decide to create next. Recently, some players have been inspired by the updated lead mechanics in a new Snapshot, building things like a ski lift in Minecraft. Hopefully, more unique creations will be shared with the community in the days ahead.

Minecraft is a game made up of blocks, creatures, and community. You can survive the night or build a work of art – the choice is all yours. But if the thought of exploring a vast new world all on your own feels overwhelming, then fear not!
Minecraft has no set goal and can be played however you’d like! This is why it’s sometimes called a “sandbox game” – there are lots of things for you to do, and lots of ways that you can play. If you like being creative, then you can use the blocks to build things from your imagination. If you’re feeling brave, you can explore the world and face daring challenges. Blocks can be broken, crafted, placed to reshape the landscape, or used to build fantastical creations.
Creatures can be battled or befriended, depending on how you play. The world of Minecraft allows for epic adventures, quiet meditations, and everything in between. You can even share your creations with other players, or play in community worlds!
