A FRIEND OF IVY is the fifth Invasions mode Klue in Season 8 and is located in the Fire Temple Mesa. To find it, Mortal Kombat 1 players will need to head to the Stars & Scars Node, which is directly opposite the Shop near the portal through which players first enter the Mesa.

As some may have already realized, A FRIEND OF IVY is a reference to poison ivy: a well-known allergenic plant. It just so happens that a certain Mortal Kombat 1 kombatant has an Animality that turns them into another type of dangerous plant, which is how players can solve this Klue.

How to Solve the A FRIEND OF IVY Klue in Mortal Kombat 1

To solve the A FRIEND OF IVY Klue, players will need to perform Reptile's Feed Me, Syzoth Animality. To do so, they should press Down, Down, Back, Back Kick (Circle on PlayStation, B on Xbox, or A on Switch) while standing at medium range, which will result in Reptile transforming into a Venus flytrap and devouring the other enemy. After returning to the map screen, players will find that the debris that had previously been blocking the path to the Klue chest is now gone, allowing them to claim their rewards.

Inside the A FRIEND OF IVY Klue chest, players will find Takeda's Deranged Punishment Skin, the Poison Drip Epic Talisman, and 100 Seasonal Kredits. As usual, they'll be able to use the Seasonal Kredits to purchase time-limited cosmetics, although starting this season, the Seasonal Store also contains permanent Brutalities for each of the game's playable characters. As for the Talisman, Poison Drip deals Acid damage and has a huge area of effect.
