Of all of the Kombat Pack 1 Kombatants, Homelander was probably the one that Mortal Kombat 1 players were most excited about. The popular comic book character rose to prominence following the success of The Boys on Amazon Prime Video, thanks both to the character's dastardly antics and some fantastic performances from Antony Starr.

Mortal Kombat 1: How to Perform Every Fatality (& What They Look Like)

A guide explaining how to perform every Fatality in Mortal Kombat 1 with videos showing what they look like in action and where players need to stand.

Sadly, despite the New Zealand-born actor being open to voicing Homelander in Mortal Kombat 1, a deal could not be struck. The MK1 Homelander still shares Starr's physical likeness, though, not to mention his sadistic nature. This is particularly evident in Homelander's Fatalities, which perfectly capture his complicated character and fragile psyche.

The videos featured in this guide contain graphic scenes that have been rated 'Mature' by the ESRB. Viewer discretion is advised.

Homelander's first Fatality is called Winging It and can be performed by pressing Down, Forward, Down, Front Kick (X on PlayStation, A on Xbox, or B on Switch) while standing at medium range. If done correctly, Homelander will uppercut the other Kombatant high into the air, causing them to be hit by a passenger plane. He then flies up to meet them; peeling them off of the plane's nose and then throwing them into its engine, which leads to the plane exploding. This is of course a reference to the botched rescue mission in the fourth episode of The Boys, in which Homelander causes the deaths of hundreds of innocent people by destroying the cockpit controls of a hijacked plane.

To perform Homelander's second Fatality, players will need to press Back, Forward, Back, Back Punch (Triangle on PlayStation, Y on Xbox, or X on Switch) while standing at medium range. Once triggered, Homelander will use his laser eyes to slice off his opponent's legs and then switch his focus over to their face. Slowly but surely, the beams melt through the other Kombatant's skull before exploding violently out of the other side. Homelander's not quite finished just yet though, with one final blast of his eye lasers slicing what's left of the other fighter clean in two.
