MLB The Show 25 may be including another change in its current title regarding stadium elevation, if early reports from fans turn out to be true. MLB The Show is a popular baseball game series from San Diego Studio and Sony that threw its first pitch in 2006 on the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable, and there’s been a new entry every year since. The franchise has therefore accumulated 19 main titles and the release for 2025 promises to shake up the formula for a title to remember.

Ahead of the game’s launch, MLB The Show 25’s worldwide release times have been revealed, with early access beginning on March 14, 2025, preceding the full debut on March 18, 2025. The entry also offers both a Standard Edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition for fans to purchase, and the Deluxe variant features a stadium-sized number of goodies, such as a variety of packs, a Cover Athlete Bat Skin, and one Double Daily Rewards.

Posted on Reddit by Flimsy_Equivalent931, a screenshot of a Twitter post by streamer MillsTwitch was shared on the MLB The Show subreddit. The post stated that MLB The Show 25’s stadium elevation may be limited to 3,000 feet, but some fans weren’t immediately convinced it was true. The streamer seemed confident that the stadiums had indeed had their elevations lowered, and noted 3,000 feet was the highest for any stadium. This detail may join several other changes coming to the latest entry, including MLB The Show 25’s move to include first-person mode for more immersion.

MLB The Show 25's Stadium Elevation May Be Limited to 3,000 Feet

Baseball fans have plenty of expectations for MLB The Show 25, including the fan-requested changes coming to the online-based Diamond Dynasty mode, but some are concerned the new stadium elevation cap will hinder their creative side. One Redditor thought the devs had already confirmed in a stream that they had lowered the elevation from 5,000 to 3,000 in three parks only.

In addition to the several gameplay changes coming to the new entry, MLB The Show 25 has also broken the cover page athlete tradition by including more than one player. This year, Cincinnati Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz, Baltimore Orioles shortstop Gunnar Henderson, and Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Paul Skenes will grace the cover. MLB The Show 25 will also be the first franchise release in four entries to not be available on any subscription service at launch, nor will it release on PlayStation 4 consoles like its immediate predecessors.
