G.O.A.T. Difficulty and Player Models Receive Update
One of the more important updates is directed at MLB The Show 25's new G.O.A.T. Difficulty setting, which has undergone a change. Players can now find the PCI size slightly larger. This makes the game a little easier on the highest-tier difficulty setting. The new patch also includes new licensed gear such as B45, Chandler, Marucci, and Victus Torpedo bats, alongside updated cleats, batting gloves, and catcher facemasks from brands like Adidas, Franklin, and Evoshield.
The latest patch has refreshed over 40 player models, including some of the highest-rated stars in MLB The Show 25. The list of updated players includes baseball all-stars such as Shohei Ohtani, Kyle Schwarber, Max Fried, Bobby Witt Jr., and Jacob DeGrom. Lastly, Sony also addressed various UI bugs and made other general adjustments to the game.
Although the update doesn't add any significant new features or transform the gameplay in a major way, it is a welcome addition. Sony's San Diego Studio has released a steady stream of updates for MLB The Show 25 since its March launch, updating player and equipment models, adjusting gameplay, fixed bugs and making quality-of-life changes.
