Summary
- "Dark System" in MLBB is unverified but suspected to cause imbalanced matches.
- Flexibility as a player can help end losing streaks and improve your ranking.
- Meta hero suggestions like Lukas, Cecilion, Miya, Freya, and Hylos have varied strengths and builds.
The Dark System. A term that every serious Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) player has heard or claimed to experience. A term that denotes sudden and allegedly manipulated loss streaks due to imbalanced teams. However, it is worth noting that Moonton has never confirmed this; it is just that matchmaking aims for fairness, and this is a community term, exclusively.
The 5 Best MOBAs Of All Time
MOBAs have been popular for a while, and the following MOBA games are considered the best of all time in the genre.
Nevertheless, what should players do to escape their losing streak or continue their epic winning streaks? Well, the obvious answer is to be a "flex player" that plays multiple roles, but that is vague advice, and most already do. This list will provide struggling or curious players with fun meta heroes that can carry their respective games, alongside their win rates, stats, combos, and meta builds, so players can master them and climb ranks fast. The stats will only showcase what is relevant to the character. Note that heroes on this list are not ranked, as it would be impossible to do so due to their different roles.
5 Lukas
Fighter: Jungle
|
HP: 2550 |
Physical Attack: 119 |
Physical Defense: 21 |
Attack Speed Ratio: 100 |
|
HP Regen: 8 |
Attack Speed: 1 |
Magic Defense: 15 |
Movement Speed: 260 |
Lukas, the Beast of Light, is currently the most overpowered Jungler in the current meta, dominating both ranked play and the pro scene due to his high burst damage, exceptional durability, three sources of CC-immunity, and an AOE stun. Boasting a 51.59% win rate, Lukas deletes enemies, even with a level gap at times. To master him, players must understand his many abilities:
Human Form
- Passive - Transient Immortal: Lukas receives one resolve per second and two per hit, and uses this resource for his Ultimate.
- Skill 1 - Flash Combo - Passive: Lukas builds Vigor through Basic Attacks up to two times and consumes Vigor to unleash pulverize, dealing Physical Damage. Plus, additional attacks based on the Vigor consumed and heal 8% max HP upon hitting an enemy.
- Skill 1 - Flash Combo - Active: At one Vigor, he briefly stuns the enemy, spins his tonfa hammers three times, dealing damage, and pulls enemies inward. At two Vigor, Lukas does two extra hits and gains CC-immunity.
- Skill 2 - Flash Step: Dashes in a targeted direction, morphing his next basic attack into a "Flash Strike," which blinks him behind an enemy, dealing damage, and increasing his attack range. Additionally, Lukas increases his Attack and Movement Speed by 20% and summons lightning storms with Basic Attacks, dealing damage and lasting 4 seconds.
- Ultimate - Unleash the Beast: Lukas morphs into his Sacred Beast form, gaining 30 extra Movement Speed and increasing all his attributes by 15%. Lukas is CC-immune when activating his ultimate.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang – How To Counter Lukas
Lukas can be really annoying to fight, especially with a defensive build; here's how to counter this Mobile Legends: Bang Bang hero.
Sacred Beast Form
- Skill 1 - Flash Combo - Passive: Lukas gains up to two stacks of Vigor through Basic Attacks. He consumes Vigor to unleash a tail swing that deals damage. Lukas makes additional attacks based on the Vigor consumed and heals 8% max HP upon hitting a hero.
- Skill 1 - Flash Combo - Active: Lukas briefly stuns the target, pounces, and deals damage three times and knockback at one stack. At two stacks, he summons sacred lightning for bonus damage and cannot be interrupted.
- Skill 2 - Flash Step: Lukas dashes in a chosen direction. His next Basic Attack turns into Lightning Clash, allowing Lukas to charge towards an enemy, dealing damage and knockback. He gains 20% Movement Speed and Attack Speed, and summons sacred lightning with Basic Attacks for extra damage.
- Ultimate - Sacred Beast: Shoot a shockwave blast that explodes and deals damage when hitting an enemy or upon reaching its maximum range. Lukas is CC-immune when firing the shockwave.
Lukas's typical combo starts with Ultimate, Skill 2, two Basic Attacks, Skill 1, and Ultimate (if needed). This combo can burst down enemies and take them by surprise, while providing them with almost no escape or counterplay. His mobility and CC-immunity make him a potent Jungler. Meanwhile, his knockback and stun allow him to CC enemies, and his dashes and blinks enable him to outmaneuver them too. Lukas is mechanically demanding, but his dominance cannot be overlooked. However, he is weak during the early game and has a famous counter, Valentina. She can copy and use his Ultimate more often than he can. Valir and Fanny also make good counters to Lukas. When leveling Lukas, upgrade Skill 1, then Skill 2, and the Ultimate whenever possible.
The build: Lukas' mains must always build Hunters Strike and War Axe as their core items, as they provide Physical Attack, Cooldown reduction, and Movement Speed. Queen's Wings and Rose Gold Meteor provide great survivability and anti-burst, and Blade of Despair (BoD) grants powerful burst damage. However, against tanky comps, use Malefic Roar instead of Queen's Wings to shred tanks. Against squishy characters or in fast-paced games, Sky Piercer beats BoD. Lukas's Battle Spell should be Flame Retribution.
4 Cecilion
Mage: Mid-Lane
|
HP: 2335 |
Physical Attack: 105 |
Physical Defense: 18 |
Attack Speed Ratio: 100 |
Mana: 700 |
|
HP Regen: 6.8 |
Attack Speed: 1 |
Magic Defense: 15 |
Movement Speed: 255 |
Mana Regen: 5.6 |
In the current meta, the Blood Demon Cecilion is arguably the strongest Mid Laner, especially when considering his relative ease of use compared to Selena, who requires precise aim to be effective. Cecilion offers a strong poke game and massive burst damage, scaling into the late game. Cecilion's 52.73% win rate and usage in the pro scene reflect his dominance. His skills are:
- Passive - Overflowing: Cecilion's Max Mana increases by 10 per stack, and he restores the same amount of Mana when his skills hit enemies. All skill damage scales with his total Mana. Cecilion can get up to 99,999 overflowing stacks by using skills.
- Skill 1 - Bat Impact: Cecilion commands a bat to dive towards a targeted location, dealing Magic Damage along its path, and bonus damage to those near the landing point. Cecilion grants himself 30% movement speed for 1 second.
- Skill 2 - Sanguine Claws: Cecilion summons a pair of opposing claws at the target location that clasp together, pulling enemies to the center , dealing Magic Damage, and immobilizing them.
- Ultimate - Bats Feast: Cecilion unleashes his Blood Demon power, gaining 60% extra Movement Speed (decays over the duration) and slow immunity for 1.5 seconds. Meanwhile, he fires 36 bolts of blood energy at nearby enemies, dealing damage and slowing the enemy by up to 30%, while restoring HP.
- Team Up - Moonlit Waltz: When Carmilla is nearby, Cecilion can summon her to obtain a shield. Carmilla can detach, gaining an equal shield while dealing damage and slowing enemies by 30% for 1 second.
The core combo every Cecilion player must learn starts with his Ultimate to slow and pressure enemies, followed by Skill 1 for burst damage, Skill 2 to immobilize enemies, and Skill 1 again to finish them off. This combo provides strong zoning, control, and damage. Cecilion excels in team fights and has a strong mid-to-late-game presence; he can spam his Skill 1 to delete enemies. However, he struggles in the early game due to his poor mobility and need to build stacks. So, players must focus on farming in the early game. Cecilion has a few counters, notably Chang’e, who has high burst, long-range, and can eliminate him with one ultimate due to Cecilion's poor mobility. Jawhead and Franco can force up-close fights, CC, and negate his strengths. When leveling Cecilion, upgrade Skill 1, then Skill 2, and the Ultimate whenever available.
The Build: Demon Boots provides Mana Regen to build stacks quicker in the early game. Clock of Destiny is a must-have, giving Mana, damage, health, and survivability. Glowing Wand and Divine Glaive are used to counter tanks and regen characters. Wishing Lantern provides more damage in the late game, and Blood Wings will give added survivability. Alternatively, players can swap Wish Lantern or Glowing Wand for Winter Crown or Immortality if they are being burst down by enemies. Cecilion's Battle Spell is Flicker or Sprint to overcome his low mobility.
3 Miya
Marksman: Gold Lane
|
HP: 2225 |
Physical Attack: 115 |
Physical Defense: 17 |
Attack Speed Ratio: 100 |
Mana: 500 |
|
HP Regen: 6 |
Attack Speed: 1.06 |
Magic Defense: 15 |
Movement Speed: 240 |
Mana Regen: 4 |
A controversial pick, but one worth considering. It is undeniable that Harith and Granger are regarded as the best Gold Laners in MLBB's current Meta. However, Granger is consistently banned, and both of these characters can be tough to use, especially if the player does not have fast hands, misses shots, or has poor positioning. Meanwhile, the Moon Elf, Miya, is beginner-friendly, outscaling nearly everything in the late game. She can also have bad positioning and not get punished as badly due to her Ultimate. Miya sits at a 50.29% win rate. Her abilities are:
- Passive - Moon Blessing: Each Basic Attack gives her a stack of Moon Blessing of up to 5. At max stacks, Miya gains 25% Attack Speed and summons a Moonlight Shadow that deals extra Physical Damage. (Moon Blessing stacks are shown under the health bar; stacks are lost by being out of combat.)
- Skill 1 - Moon Arrow: Miya fires two extra arrows with each Basic Attack, dealing increased damage and 30% AOE damage to nearby targets. This effect lasts 4 seconds.
- Skill 2 - Arrow of Eclipse: Miya launches an empowered arrow, dealing damage and immobilizing enemies in the AOE for 1.2 seconds. The arrow scatters into six smaller arrows, slowing nearby enemies for 2 seconds.
- Ultimate - Hidden Moonlight: Miya removes all debuffs, conceals herself, gains up to 65% extra Movement Speed, and max stacks of Moon Blessing. This state lasts 2 seconds or until she attacks.
Miya's best combo starts with her Ultimate to conceal, position, and obtain max stacks of Hidden Moonlight, opening with Skill 2 to immobilize and slow enemies, and Skill 1 to enhance her Basic Attacks. Then Basic Attack till the enemy disappears. Miya has high carry potential due to her quick and high damage Basic Attacks. She is an oppressive force late game, and her Ultimate provides a free purify to get rid of CC and escape dangerous encounters. However, she is weak in the early game and must farm till mid-to-late game, but this is not too bad given her solid wave clear, AOE, and CC. When leveling Miya, upgrade Skill 2 at the start of the game, then prioritize Skill 1, then Skill 2, and the Ultimate whenever possible.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang - 10 Best Assassin Heroes, Ranked
Assassin heroes are crucial to battle victories in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and these are Assassin heroes players should prioritize.
The build: Swift boots enhance Miya's attack speed. The core item, Windtalker, increases Miya's Attack Speed, Crit, and Movement Speed, making it invaluable. Beserker's Fury and Haas' Claws give further Crit, Attack Speed, Crit Damage, Lifesteal, and Physical Attack, leveraging her strengths and providing sustain. Malefic Roar helps armor shred tanks, and BoD gives sweet burst damage. If Malefic Roar is unnecessary, consider Sea Halberd or Wind of Nature to counter Regen or Burst, respectively. Miya's Battle Spell is Inspire.
2 Freya
Fighter: EXP
|
HP: 2623 |
Physical Attack: 109 |
Physical Defense: 22 |
Attack Speed Ratio: 100 |
|
HP Regen: 9.8 |
Attack Speed: 1.04 |
Magic Defense: 15 |
Movement Speed: 260 |
The Valkyrie, Freya, is currently one of the best characters in the game for EXP! Freya is a meta character that can solo an entire team for a savage, due to her sustained damage and high durability. She is a scourge in the pro scene and has a 50.12% win rate overall. To master Freya and use her effectively, players must understand her skills:
- Passive - Power of Einherjar: After casting a skill, Freya gains 200% Attack Speed for her next two Basic Attacks, stacking up to six times!
- Skill 1 - Leap of Faith: Freya jumps to the target location, dealing Physical Damage and pulling enemies towards her.
- Skill 2 - Spirit Combo: Freya gains a shield, deals damage, and applies a 30% slow for 0.5 seconds. This can be cast again within 3.5 seconds, and chained continuously, as long as she has two Sacred Orb stacks. Freya jumps into the air, dealing damage and knocking up enemies on the third cast.
- Ultimate - Valkyrie Descent: Instantly gain max stacks of Sacred Orb and enter the Valkyrie state, wherein she gets a scaling shield and increased damage. Additionally, her basic attacks become ranged and deliver splash damage. (The shield's strength is based on her number of damage items.)
Freya's combo starts with her activating her Ultimate to enter the Valkyrie state to give herself max sacred orb stacks and increased damage. Initiate fights with her Skill 1 and use her Skill 2, weaving in Basic Attacks between every cast of Skill 2. Freya can also use the Battle Spell, Inspire, to further increase her attack speed and ignore the enemy's defenses. Freya is a powerhouse late game and strong enough to win most early-game duels. However, she has weaknesses, struggling against hard CC, range, and targeting by experienced players. Further, she has counters; WanWan removes her CC and kites her at range. Minsittar and Edith can CC her, tank her attacks, and shut her down. When leveling Freya, upgrade Skill 2, then Skill 1, and the Ultimate whenever possible!
The Build: Players should build BoD as their first core item to maximize Freya's early game pressure. Tough Boots helps her against CC, one of her weaknesses. Beserker's Fury and Great Dragon Spear increase her Crit, Crit damage, make her move faster in her Ultimate, and add to the already insane Physical Attack provided by BoD. Malefic Roar helps shred tanks by giving Physical Penetration and Attack. Lastly, Endless Battle gives Physical Attack, Movement Speed, Health, Lifesteal, and, more importantly, the passive Divine Justice, for True Damage and added Movement Speed. This build makes Freya a force to be reckoned with. Malefic Roar can be swapped out for Sea Halberd if they have more regen than tankiness. Freya's Battle Spell is Inspire.
1 Hylos
Tank: Roamer
|
HP: 2600 |
Physical Attack: 105 |
Physical Defense: 17 |
Attack Speed Ratio: 100 |
Mana: 500 |
|
HP Regen: 18.4 |
Attack Speed: 1.03 |
Magic Defense: 15 |
Movement Speed: 260 |
Mana Regen: 4 |
The Grand Warden, Centaur Hylos, is an easy-to-play and intimidating Roamer due to having the highest HP in the game, insane durability, and amazing mobility. Hylos has a 53.03% win rate overall and remains meta in the pro scene, showcasing dominance at all levels of play. His skills are:
- Passive - Thickened Blood: Hylos gains 1.5 extra HP for every 1 extra Max Mana he possesses. Hylos can use his health to use his skills.
- Skill 1 - Law and Order: Hylos gains 50% movement speed and causes his next basic attack to deal Magic Damage, knockback, and stun for 1 second.
- Skill 2 - Ring of Punishment: Hylos creates an AOE around him, causing constant Magic Damage and slowing enemies by 4%, and reducing their Attack Speed by 7.5% for up to eight stacks. Each stack increases the enemy's damage received by 5%. Hylos can choose to keep this skill on continuously.
- Ultimate - Glorious Pathway: Hylos creates a pathway in a targeted direction, reducing the enemy's movement speed by 75% for 1 second. The pathway lasts 6 seconds. On the pathway, Hylos gains Slow Immunity and recovers 3% max HP per second. Allies gain 60-70% Movement Speed, while enemies are slowed by 25-45%.
The best combo for Hylos starts with the Ultimate to initiate, then his Skill 1 to stun, his Skill 2 for continuous pressure, and Basic Attacks. Hylos is a complete package, having an AOE slow, knockback, stun, and debuffs for days. He can dish out and tank damage, create plays, and target Squishy characters. This type of Roamer excels in solo queue, as solo players cannot rely on competent team members. However, he has weaknesses, mainly to CC, Kiting, and his lack of burst. Further, there are counters to this character, most prominently Cici, who is not an uncommon soft counter. She can punish him; She slows, has high movement, kites, and has HP-based damage. Valir and Kimmy are also horrible match-ups. When leveling Hylos, upgrade Skill 2, then Skill 1, and the Ultimate whenever possible.
The Build: Tough Boots give CC and Slow Resistance, which are invaluable on Hylos. Dominance Ice is a staple, as it counters Regen and Tanks, while giving HP, Physical Defense, and Movement Speed. The Thunder Belt gives HP, Physical and Magical Defense, and Movement Speed. Meanwhile, the Passive deals True Damage, Slows, and raises Hybrid Defense by 1 per stack, which is important to build early. Clock of Destiny gives Magic Power, which enables Hylos to do damage. Cursed Helmet and Guardian Helmet give a ton of HP and passive damage. Hylos can swap Clock of Destiny or Cursed Helmet for Radiant Armor or Blade Armor, if they are facing strong Crit Marksmen or strong Magic Damage. Hylos's Battle Spell is Vengeance.
Alternative choices are Karina for Jungler, Edith and Masha for EXP, Estus for Roam, Granger or Brody for Gold Lane, and Selena or Zhuxin for Middle Lane.
