Trophies or Achievements have become the norm in modern gaming, especially for the Call of Duty franchise. And with Activision's latest COD game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, players are tasked to complete several difficult, albeit annoying, trophies/achievements. Here's how to complete Don't Touch the Deck trophy/achievement from Mission 12: Dark Water.
Tips Before Jumping into the Walkthrough
As with other trophies/achievements, players should complete it in Recruit difficulty since the enemy AI will be much easier to handle (there are no armored enemy units on this mission). To complete this trophy/achievement, players must avoid touching the top of the deck from the start of this mission section (whenever the player crashes onto the deck). Players should restart from the Last Checkpoint if they touch the deck at any point. But, it's important to note that some players have found that doing that invalidates the trophy/achievement, meaning they had to restart the entire mission.
There are several paths players can take to reach the end, but this guide will show players the most optimal one. There's no time limit, so players should be patient and time all their jumps before moving on to the next container. The containers repeat the same movements, so players should take a moment to learn their pattern.
First Jump Spots
As soon as players crash onto the deck, they should sprint toward the shorter blue container located on their left (1). Then, players will need to jump onto the following two small white containers (2) (these are tricky to land on, so players should time it right). From the second white container, players should jump onto the large red container (3) and from there, onto the platform with guard rails (4).
Second Jump Spots
At this point, several enemy AIs will appear, so players should focus on eliminating them before jumping further. Once the player is on the large red container (5), they should jump onto a smaller blue one directly in front of them (6). From the small blue container, players should make their way onto a large rectangular container by jumping onto two smaller containers (7). Once on the large container, players should jump onto a smaller blue container (7), the one closer to the edge of the ship.
Final Jump Spots
Now players should jump onto the large rectangular container (9). From that container, players will need to jump onto a large blue rectangular container and then onto another platform with guard rails (10). At this point, another wave of enemies will appear, so players should take care of them first.
Afterward, players will need to walk on some pipes that lead to the upper deck with a room (11); this area isn't considered the "deck," so players can walk around this area freely. Finally, players can walk out of the room and head toward a set of stairs that go up (12). Upon reaching this point, the Call of Duty MW2 Don't Touch the Deck trophy/achievement should pop up.
