Players get operator Kingslayer kills by defeating the top scorer from the opposing side. Modern Warfare 3 has a leaderboard that displays the score for each player in a given match, and anyone who defeats the top player on the board gets an operator Kingslayer kill. Players can get operator Kingslayer kills in any MW3 mode as long as there’s an opposing team to fight against.

The top scorer doesn’t have to be at the top of the board at all times for the kill to count. They just have to be at the number one spot when a player kills them. Once another player secures the top spot, they become the top dog, and killing them earns another Kingslayer kill.
