Call of Duty: Modern Warfare season 4 is quickly coming to a close which means players who haven't completed their battle pass should be grinding away before the upcoming deadline. Luckily for players who haven't reached level 100 yet, Activision is having a huge Double XP weekend to help players catch up before the battle pass rewards are gone for good.

Season 4 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare kicked off weeks ago and introduced a few new guns in the battle pass as well as a fan-favorite character from the Modern Warfare series. A new gun introduced via the battle pass, the Fennec SMG, was a popular choice among multiplayer game modes as well as Warzone players. Although, the Fennec lost its luster quickly and players fell back to, what is considered the best SMG in the game, the MP5, rather quickly.

With Season 4 of Modern Warfare ending very soon, players who still have a few battle pass tiers left will need to grind those out before it's too late. This weekend, Activision is offering Double XP for players for Rank, Weapons, and Battle Pass tiers. This will be a huge help to anyone who is still trying to reach level 100 of their battle pass and unlock the Captain Price "Nightfall" skin. The Double XP weekend kicks off on July 31 at 10 AM PST and runs through August 3 at 10 AM PST, which will leave just one day before Season 4 ends.

The Double Weapon XP will give players a chance to unlock attachments for different guns rather quickly. Whether it's for completing the Fennec SMG before any new guns are added to the game, or for unlocking attachments for the Bruen MK9 LMG. The meta in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone is changing constantly, so players may want to take advantage of the Double XP weekend and unlock attachments on as many guns as they can, just in case that gun gets a significant buff in Season 5.

The current belief among the community that Season 5 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will start on August 5. With Season 4 reaching its end, teases, leaks, and rumors are starting to pop up all across the internet. Current speculation is that trains will be added to Warzone. Also, it's safe to assume that the Season 5 battle pass will add new guns to the game but fans may have to wait until the season begins to know exactly what those are.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is now available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
