The Monopoly GO x Star Wars collaboration continues with the launch of the Rebel Racers minigame. This thrilling, limited-time event puts you in the cockpit of high-speed racecars, challenging you to outrun your opponents. As you zoom through the races, you’ll be able to win a ton of lap rewards and earn medals. The team with the most medals at the end wins the grand prize, including the AT-AT Token.

Rebel Racers follows the familiar mechanics of past Tycoon Racers events in Monopoly GO, but with exciting Star Wars-themed rewards on the line, it’s time to play smart and race strategically. This guide covers the top three strategies to help you claim the grand prize in Monopoly GO’s Rebel Racers.

Teaming Up With Friends Is Best

How to Use Friend Codes in Monopoly GO

If you have active friends who play Monopoly GO seriously, it’s best to team up with them for the Rebel Racers event. While there’s a solo mode, the rewards for team play are far better. Along with the Star Wars-themed collectibles, you can get a Wild Sticker and a Purple Pack if your team finishes in first place. Plus, if you’re aiming for the ultimate championship prize, teaming up is your best bet.

Every flag collected, and every point scored by any member of your team contributes to the collective progress of your race car. Even if one player has a slower day, their teammates can pick up the slack. This way, your team consistently advances towards those crucial lap rewards and, ultimately, wins races. Besides, when you're part of a team with friends, there's a natural sense of responsibility to contribute.

If you can’t invite your friends to Monopoly GO, you can find reliable partners through the Discord, Facebook, and Reddit Monopoly GO communities. Just make sure to check the player’s Tycoon Card and have a quick chat with them before accepting their request.

Don’t Blow All Your Flags Early

It's tempting to use all your flags immediately to try and get an early lead, but the better strategy is to save your flags, especially for the later races. There are three races in the Rebel Racers event, and the final race rewards you with double medals, making it the most critical race to win.

Some players deliberately score 2nd place in the first two races, then go all out for 1st in the last one. This way, they can accumulate more flags for the most important race. By holding back early, you maximize your flag reserves for when they truly count, increasing your odds of a decisive victory in the most rewarding part of the event.

Put simply, the more flags you have, the more rolls you can make in the dice popper and the higher multipliers you can use, leading to more points and a better chance of winning races. You can get more Flag tokens by:

  • Landing on Board Tiles
  • Participating in Events & Tournaments
  • Completing Quick Wins
  • Choosing them in Lap Rewards
  • Opening Shop Gifts

Use Lap Rewards Strategically

Tycoon Racers rewards in Monopoly GO

As you and your teammates complete laps in Rebel Racers, you'll earn valuable Lap Rewards. When presented with a choice of prizes – which often include more flags, dice rolls, or sticker packs, it’s important to choose what benefits you and your team most in that moment. Don't just pick anything randomly.

For instance, if your team is low on flags and needs a push for the next race, prioritizing extra flags can be a game-changer. On the other hand, if you desperately need more dice to continue playing, those rolls might be the better choice.

If your teammates already have a Lucky Rocket, it might be better to choose a different reward to avoid wasting a booster, as you can only hold one Lucky Rocket at a time.

Each team member gets to choose their own reward from the completed lap. This opens up the door for individual needs to be met while still contributing to the team's overall progress. One player might need dice, other stickers, and another more flags for the next race.
