Every minigame in Monopoly GO deals with extra tokens differently. Whether it’s Pickaxe tokens from Treasure Hunt events or Peg-E tokens from Prize Drop events, it’s easy to get confused about what happens to them.

After Tycoon Racers ends, any leftover Flag Tokens will be converted into cash. It doesn’t matter how you got them. The more tokens you have, the bigger the cash payout.

Cash is useful for upgrading landmarks, but it’s pretty easy to earn in the game. Each board has five landmarks, and you need to upgrade them six times to complete it. Still, it would’ve been much better if the devs gave us dice rolls instead of cash for leftover tokens. So if you have extra Flag Tokens, don’t hold onto them. Use them in Tycoon Racers to get better rewards.

If you want to stack up on Flag Tokens for the Tycoon Racers event, there are a few easy ways to do it. First off, players should join banner events and tournaments. They hand out thousands of tokens if you complete all the milestones.

Right now, the Fast and Luxurious event and the Pace Pushers Tournament are active. The event has 2,630 Flags across 62 milestones, and the tournament has 2,160 Flag tokens across 40 milestones. Furthermore, make sure to complete your Quick Wins. They’re easy tasks that take no time at all.
