Monster Hunter Wilds has a lot of different armor sets to pick from, with their benefits ranging from resistances to a specific type of damage to bonus skills that activate randomly in battle to help you. Some of these skills have a clear activation explanation, though some can be a bit more vague such as Latent Power.
Divine Blessing is another one that may not make a lot of sense at first but can actually be very useful for players. Here's exactly how Divine Blessing works and what triggers it to activate it so you can make the most out of this skill.

Fishing might not make sense at first in Monster Hunter Wilds, but it does work how you'd expect.
How Does Divine Power Work In Monster Hunter Wilds
The in-game description for Divine Power states it has a predetermined chance of reducing damage, though a simpler way of thinking about this skill is that it has a chance of triggering whenever you get hit. Divine Blessing has about a 20% chance of activating whenever you get hit, with a notification appearing along the right side of the screen if it does activate.
There will be a slight flash from your hunter, and they won't get knocked back as much, and the damage they receive from that attack will be lowered based on the current skill level. There is no way to know when this is about to trigger or increase the likelihood of it happening, but even at only 20%, it will happen often enough to make it a noticeable skill to take advantage of.
The effects of the skill are instant, and it only applies to a single hit from a monster, so it won't cover you against a rapid combo or two hits from different monsters that happen close together. While not clearly indicated on your HUD, there is a slight delay between this skill activating again right after it did, though it's no more than a few seconds.

Divine Power Skill Levels In Monster Hunter Wilds
Divine Power only has three levels, with one level being gained for each piece of armor you have equipped that has this skill. Leveling up the skill will increase the amount of damage reduction the skill offers, but it won't increase the frequency of the skill activating.
