Where To Farm Dragonite Ore In Monster Hunter Wilds
Dragonite Ore is farmed from Mining Outcrops found in the following regions:
- Oilwell Basin
- Iceshard Cliffs
- Ruins of Wyveria
Since this is a slightly rare material in the low-rank section of the game, your odds of finding some will increase as you progress to later regions, so your odds of finding one from an outcrop are better in the Ruins of Wyveria compared to Oilwell Basin. That being said, some regions will have a lot more Mining Outcrops than others, making farming a lot easier.
Whenever you find a Mining Outcrop, you'll first need to use the pickaxe your Hunter always has on them to break up the outcrop. After that, it can be interacted with multiple times to get three or four materials from the outcrop. After that, the outcrop will respawn after fifteen minutes of real-world time, letting you farm the same spots if needed. There's also a chance that when you run past an Outcrop your Palico will mine it to get a single item, but don't let that stop you from also mining that same outcrop as your Palico won't get everything.

Best Areas In Each Region To Farm Mining Outcrops For Dragonite Ore In Monster Hunter Wilds
If you're trying to make the most of your time and don't want to run around entire regions to find Dragonite; here is the best area in each region that has the highest concentration of Mining Outcrops to farm Dragonite.
- Oilwell Basin - Area 4: There are four Mining Outcrops along the walls surrounding The Ancient Forge.
- Iceshard Cliffs - Area 8: There are three Mining Outcrops with two being close to the back corners of the area.
- Ruins of Wyveria - Area 8: Follow the area south along the left wall to find two Mining Outcrops.
