Where To Find Aknosom In Monster Hunter Now
To get Aknosom to appear in the wild, you first need to beat the first chapter of the Season 3 Story Quests. This is an Urgent Quest to defeat what is likely to be your first Aknosom in battle. Once you do, this fire-element beast has a chance to appear in either Forest or Swamp locations. You can also use the Monster Tracking feature in the paintball tab to get a guaranteed encounter after several hunts.
How To Beat Aknosom In Monster Hunter Now
Out of the three monsters introduced in Season 3, Aknosom is the simplest of them to defeat. It's weak against water-element weapons, so try to bring them into the fight if your weapons are a bit lacking, as the extra damage can yield significant results. Its breakable parts are the head, left wing, right wing, and tail. Provided you have powerful enough weapon upgrade, such as a decent Long Sword, it shouldn't be too troublesome to fight.
As for its attacks, there's nothing to especially note here, as the fire damage will not cause lingering burns or other effects. Aknosom will mostly try and hit you with easily telegraphed kicks. If it ever raises its arm to its face, it'll wait around for a few seconds before swiping with an elegant florish. Out of all the attacks it is capable of, this is the hardest-hitting, so make sure you dodge it. Finally, if it raises its head at any point, it'll try to peck you three times.
