Around Prologue Mission 4 and getting up to HR (Hunter Rank 6), Monster Hunter Now players will finally get the chance to not only add friends to their friends list but they can also unlock a new weapon type: the Great Sword. This guide will show players how to add friends and form a party to take on Large Monsters.
How to Add Friends in Monster Hunter Now
To find the Friends list in Monster Hunter Now, players need to press on their hunter's profile picture in the bottom-left corner of the home screen.
- Tap the button that says 'Friends.'
- Choose 'Add Friends' on the next screen.
- To add a friend, players can either take a snapshot of another player's unique QR code, or you can input the 12-digit friend code into the 'add a friend' box.
- This will send the friend request to the player.
Using a Referral Code in Monster Hunter Now
Players booting up Monster Hunter Now for the first time will be asked to input a referral code. It's optional, but if used, it will give both players some free gifts, like Zenny, Potions, and Paintballs.
The player who used the referral code will get the items after getting to Rank 6, as well as the player who gave out the referral code. It's also worth noting that players can only get 20 monthly rewards; the code can be found at the bottom of the 'Friends' menu. Make sure to give your friends your referral code, or else you will miss out on some crucial freebies.
If anyone needs a Monster Hunter Now referral code, they can use this one. However, it might not work once enough people use it: DHTNPXTT
How to Form a Party in Monster Hunter Now
Now, to form a party with other players in Monster Hunter Now, click on your hunter and then go to 'Party.' Players can do one of two things in this menu: create a party and then let other players scan their QR code, or join another player's party. Another way to hunt with nearby players is to click on a Large Monster currently spawned on the field and then choose 'Hunt with Nearby Hunters.' Of course, if there are no other players close by, the only option is to go for a good ol' Solo Hunt.
Monster Hunter Now is available on mobile devices as a free download.
