The Monster Hunter Now Paralysis/Sleep Element event is the first time many hunters will be able to track down and hunt Nightmare Paolumu during limited-time quests. This Sleep-element variant of the giant puffball was originally exclusive to a paid-for event during the summer but it's now appearing on the radar for all hunters who have finished the game's prologue story.

The Paralysis/Sleep Element event quests are worth finishing as you get high-tier rewards based on two of the available status ailments. Even if you've heavily invested in upgrading weapons of more conventional elements in the past, this is your opportunity to get some of the best gear for toppling the biggest monsters, including the Elder Dragons. Here are all the Monster Hunter Now Paralysis/Sleep Element event details, including its duration and quest rewards.

The Monster Hunter Now Paralysis/Sleep Element began on September 23 at 9 AM UTC (2 AM Pacific, 5 AM Eastern) and will last until September 29 at 11 PM UTC (4 PM Pacific, 7 PM Eastern). This event not only has the Sleep-element monster Nightmare Paolumu appearing for all hunters for the first time, but it also increases the likelihood of you encountering Radobaan and Great Girros.

These monsters all drop highly desirable materials items, and you'll need to hunt these monsters during the event as part of the quest list. While you can guarantee encounters both Great Girros and Radobaan via the tracking feature in the Paintball List tab, you'll need to seek out Nightmare Paolumu in the wild or in Hunt-A-Thons to finish everything in time and get the highly coveted Wyvern Gem. Below are all the quests to complete and the rewards for doing so:
