Monster Hunter Risefor Nintendo Switch has a limited-time free demo for new and veterans players to try out. With the demo only requiring 1.6GB of storage space, excited fans swarmed the downloadable demo, which caused quite the heavy strain on Nintendo’s eShop servers. Nintendo Japan is asking people on their official Twitter account to be patient so as to not crash the servers. Part of the excitement from longtime fans are appearances by classic monsters including thereturn of Khezu and Arzuros, no doubt a big reason why fans are on their toes to try out the limited-time free demo.
Capcom held an event forMonster Hunter Rise, releasing a new trailer and finally revealing the launch date for the anticipated demo. The demo can be accessed from the Nintendo eShop with your Nintendo Account, and up to four players can play the demo locally. However, the Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to play the Online Multiplayer version, which costs $3.99 per month, $7.99 for three months, or $19.99 for a whole year. There’s an option for a family plan as well, at $34.99 with the requirement of there being two accounts linked to the plan.
Thedemo is available with a limited playthrough. You can test out two quests which are beginner-quest Great Izuchi and Intermediate-quest Mizutsune which can only be played 30 times. There are also a Basic Training Quest and a Wyvern Riding Training Quest, however, once you’ve reached this limit, both quests will no longer be available. Eager players have access to the demo until February 1st at 3 PM ET.
The release date ofMonster Hunter Risehas been set for a worldwide launch on March 26th this year. Capcom also released aMonster Hunter Rise-themed amiibo that will unlock a special layered armor set for their owners when scanned. Additionally,Monster Hunter Risewill also bring old mechanics and monsters from the previous titles, which has fans excited. Of course, new monsters like the Wire Bug and the Wyvern Riding also keep fans on their toes.
Both Developers and players alike are excited for the release of this game with an all-new story set in a new location with a lot of new and returning monsters to hunt. In addition, Capcom will also release a new game alongsideMonster Hunter Rise,calledMonster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. With the limited-time free demo available, players are bound to wishthat the game had a free-to-play version.
Monster Hunter Rise will be released on March 26, 2021, for the Nintendo Switch.
