Introduced in Title Update 1, Monster Hunter Wilds provides players with a challenging new way to show off their hunting skills through the arena. These specific quests can limit build potential, but can give exclusive rewards to those daring enough.

Monsters added to the arena in Monster Hunter Wilds provide players with a challenge that is quite different from a typical hunt. Those who overcome it can be rewarded with exclusive items themed off of the specific monster. This time around, Mizutsune brings that challenge and rewards. Here's how to beat this arena quest.

Fleeting Bubbles Arena Quest Guide

Upon going to the arena quest counter, you will see the arena quest titled "Fleeting Bubbles." When you select the mission, you will be given the typical arena quest choice for the structure-styled quests. This means you will have three pre-made builds to choose from that feature random weapons and armor. The builds you have to choose from are:

  • Sword and Shield + Charge Blade
  • Dual Blades + Gunlance
  • Hammer + Heavy Bowgun

When picking a build, the most important thing is to pick the weapons you feel you are most comfortable with. However, since speed contributes to the success of these quests, the best weapons for dealing damage fast are either the Dual Blades or the Charge Blade, with the Sword and Shield coming up right behind the two. If you have never used either of these weapons before, starting with Dual Blades is the easier path. Charge Blade has numerous mechanics that can seem foreign to those who have never touched the weapon before, while Dual Blades keep a fast-paced and simple game plan at heart.

The armor tied to the Dual Blades is also beneficial to the weapon, as it is for the Gunlance, as it is centered around boosting your evasiveness. Often, these pre-determined builds can have random skills that are either plain damage buffs or have nothing to do with synergizing with the weapon chosen. This is by design, as it adds to the challenge of completing this quest within a set amount of time.

To achieve an A rank on the quest, players must defeat the monster within four minutes and thirty seconds or less. Any completion time between that and six minutes will result in a B rank. A time between six minutes and fifty minutes will result in a C rank, and anything over fifty minutes will result in a quest failure. The exclusive pendant themed around Mizutsune is only available to those who complete the quest and get an A rank. Other rewards feature things like consumable items and meal vouchers that can be used in The Grand Hub.
