Despite its popularity among a wide variety of audiences, some fans have experienced confusing and frustrating moments when navigating Monster Hunter Wilds' many features. A large portion of the community has had issues fully understanding the game's numerous multiplayer options, including the differences between Link Parties, Squads, Environment Links, and Lobbies. In a recent post on Reddit, SbeveGobs shared an image of two pop-up menus that appear whenever a player picks something up and their item pouch is full. The first menu simply informs the player that their item pouch is full, letting them know that they'll need to switch out some of the contents. Meanwhile, the second one asks if they would like to send the item to their field pouch. Unfortunately, these pop-ups don't pause Monster Hunter Wilds, meaning the world remains active while the player is stuck fiddling with multiple menus. SbeveGobs has suggested that Capcom should skip the two menus and simply send the items to the field pouch automatically.

Monster Hunter Wilds Players Dislike Its Pop-up Menus

Some feel these menus can be particularly frustrating when they're out farming cooking ingredients in Monster Hunter Wilds, as one's item pouch can fill up rather quickly. Furthermore, the menus obscure the player's vision, meaning they might miss any danger that could be nearby. Several fans stated that they might understand the need for a single pop-up menu, but that two seem excessive and overly cumbersome.

Gamers have also expressed some frustration with cooking in Monster Hunter Wilds, with many feeling that special meals aren't really worth the time and effort. Some ingredients have proven to be exceedingly rare, which requires players to go out into the world and hunt down materials they need to prepare their meals. While some fans feel like this gives them more of a reason to engage with the open world, others feel as if the difficulty of the game doesn't require them to prepare anything but basic dishes. Despite a few possible shortcomings with some of the game's features and systems, many fans are looking forward to seeing what Capcom has planned for Monster Hunter Wilds in the future.
