Event quests make up some of the best endgame content in Monster Hunter Wilds. They present plenty of opportunities for players to revisit some of the game's most epic monster battles and earn exclusive rewards for their efforts.
If you're one of those Monster Hunter Wilds players who seek to hit up every event quest in the game, then An Inferno Laid Bare is one not to miss out on. Here's how to complete An Inferno Laid Bare and obtain the exclusive armor items for your hunting wardrobe.
How to Complete An Inferno Laid Bare in Monster Hunter Wilds
Similar to other event quests in Monster Hunter Wilds, An Inferno Laid Bare is an automatic addition to the game's ongoing series of event quests. To complete it, your hunter needs to be at least HR 31 or higher. To reach that tier of High Rank, you need to complete the A World Turned Upside story quest in Chapter 5-2.
Conveniently, this is also a pre-requisite for unlocking Lagiacrus, so you may want to keep that in mind as well.
An Inferno Laid Bare involves slaying a Nu Udra lurking in the Firespring area of the Oilwell Basin region. Prepare accordingly by eating a hearty meal either at the Grand Hub or in your tent with your own ingredients. If you're not toting an Artian weapon yet, consider one imbued with the Water element to help combat Nu Udra's inherent Fire element.
Finally, stock up on reliable recovery items such as Mega Potions and be sure to bring Cool Drinks to fend off passive damage to your health due to the extreme heat in the area. If you're not heading into battle with a group of players, consider recruiting Support Hunter NPCs to aid you. Either talk to Alma at base camp or Lotte at the Grand Hub to start the quest and depart.
Upon defeating Nu Udra, you'll receive many of the usual monster part rewards along with at least one of a special item called a Necklace Ticket. This is an event quest-exclusive item that can be used to craft two special pieces of gear at Gemma's forge, including one for you and one for your Palico. You can use Lucky Vouchers to improve your odds of more tickets per kill.
Make sure to take advantage of this opportunity for exclusive gear items, as the quest is only available for a limited time until July 22, 2025.
How to Craft Pinion Necklace Armor in Monster Hunter Wilds
The Pinion Necklace armor (alpha) can be found near the bottom of the High Rank list, where other unlocked event quest gear usually appears. To craft this chest piece, you'll need the following materials:
- 3 x Necklace Tickets
- 5 x Nu Udra Hide+
- 2 x Nu Udra Tentacle+
- 3 x Nu Udra Oilmucus+
- 6000 x zenny
Once crafted, you can use it as an armor piece if you wish (its stats aren't anything exceptional) or as layered armor for your latest fashion hunter looks.
How to Craft Felyne Bell Collar Armor in Monster Hunter Wilds
The Felyne Bell Collar armor is a charming chest piece option for your Palico, and, again, you can find it near the bottom of the High Rank list of gear options. To craft this chest piece, you'll need the following materials:
- 1 x Necklace Ticket
- 2 x Nu Udra Spike+
Once crafted, similar to the gear piece for your hunter, you can use it as viable gear for your Palico or simply as a layered armor look.
