NetherRealm Studios isn't done with Mortal Kombat 11 development yet. Wednesday morning NetherRealm announced Mortal Kombat 11's next major DLC addition in Aftermath. Aftermath isn't just another character DLC or season pass, though. Aftermath is bundling together a huge range of content including a new chapter of story, new fighters, the return of Friendship finishers, and more. To showcase the new content, NetherRealm's released over 10 different screenshots.

Most of the screenshots focus on Aftermath's new three playable fighters, Robocop, Sheeva, and Fujin. Each fighter gets two or three screenshots featuring them. For example, in Robocop's screenshots one of he uses his data spike for what could be a Fatality. Sheeva's screenshots show that she has a shield dash, a fire spell, and what looks like the ability to throw her spiked shield. Fujin, being the God of Wind, has appropriately thematic abilities.

There's one screenshot which is obviously from the new story chapter for Mortal Kombat 11. It shows Fujin standing with Nightwolf and Shang Tsung. Who they're facing off with or why isn't clear from the screenshot. NetherRealm's teased that "familiar foes" will threaten the future of two worlds. Another screenshot teases the return of the Dead Pool stage, a location that players will look forward to visiting in Aftermath's story.

One of the new features being brought back from past Mortal Kombat titles is Friendship finishers. These are goofy finishers that feature the winner doing something fun for their opponents instead of brutally killing them. The one Friendship screenshot shows Kano with a chef's at cooking sausages on the barbecue.

The last screenshot is for the Eternal Klash Skin Pack. This skin pack is exclusively available for Mortal Kombat 11 players that pre-order Aftermath. It includes three new skin variants, each throwback skins. There's the Mortal Kombat: Deception skin for Sub-Zero, the Mortal Kombat (2011) skin for Scorpion, and a retro skin for Frost more akin to her original design.
