The announcement of Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath, the new expansion for the popular fighting game, revealed a variety of new details. Aftermath would include new characters, new maps, and even new story. What the announcement was missing, however, was video footage of Mortal Kombat 11's new characters in action. Luckily, NetherRealm has now delivered. A newly released trailer features a robust look at Fujin, Robocop, and Sheeva gameplay.

Mortal Kombat 11 players won't be surprised by the three new characters' kits. Fujin has a variety of wind-based abilities that allow him to slice through the competition, attacking from fun angles. He also wields both a sword and a crossbow, which are used to obviously violent means.

RoboCop is Mortal Kombat 11's latest licensed character, taken from the popular 80s RoboCop movies. The cyborg features a deadly array of weaponry in his arsenal. Pistols, machine guns, rockets, and a heavily armored tactical shield are just some examples. He also uses his data spike, typically used to hack computer systems, for more pointed reasons.

Sheeva is all brawn, as makes sense given her four well-muscled arms. Her kit is filled with a lot of punches, headbutts, and stomps. She also wields a spiked small shield, which can also be thrown. And, when necessary, Sheeva has an array of fire-based abilities that are perfect for ranged attacks.

The new trailer isn't solely for revealing Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath's gameplay, however. It also goes out of its way to showcase a ton of other content. Skins and fatalities for the new characters are obviously shown, but also much more. The Dead Pool, Soul Chamber, Kronika's Keep, and RetroKade Mortal Kombat 11 stages are also shown during the trailer. There's also the skins from the Eternal Klash Skin Pack, which is a pre-order bonus, shown. All that's missing is some of Aftermath's story, but that will have to wait.

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath is the latest, and perhaps last, major DLC release for the fighting game. It'll be offered as an expansion for those who already have the game, as well as in a bundle featuring the full game and its season pass for new players. The DLC will be available starting May 26, with a retail release of the full bundle launching in June.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
