Yesterday saw the release of Sindel, mother of Kitana and Empress of Edenia for Mortal Kombat 11. While many players were already impressed with her fantastic new redesign, few expected her gameplay to be as impressive as it actually is. Sindel comes right out of the gate with some of the best tools for pressure, mixups, and high damaging combos in the game.
Today we will examine some of her best combos so far in the game for newer players or if some are just picking up Sindel for the first time. Take full advantage of Mortal Kombat 11's already fantastic training mode and hit the lab to master these combos. With enough practice, players should be able to perform combos that will make the teased epic Mortal Kombat movie ending jealous.
For this guide, we will be using standard Mortal Kombat notation to lay out how to perform each combo. For those unfamiliar here is how it breaks down (assuming default controls):

Sindel's Essential Moves
Sindel's 1,1 string is her basic jab string that lets you combo fairly easily into most of her specials. Usually best used at the end of a combo string after a juggle to keep the opponent in the air without using too much hitstun.
Her 2,3 string is great for starting and ending combos and is safe on block making it a great tool for looking for a solid hit to begin your combo.
Her B2 is her juggle starter. This move will pop the opponent up in the air to begin a huge juggle combo. It is unsafe at close range, but at the maximum range is very hard for the opponent to punish.
The F4 spin kick is a fantastic move for multiple reasons. It is safe on block, lets players follow up Krushing Blows and Amplified specials like her scream to keep a combo going, and is cancellable into her best combo enders. This is a move players will be using a lot. Also, remember that as cool as some of Mortal Kombat 11's new Brutalities are, they do not affect the actual gameplay so learning them isn't essential.
Best Sindel Combos
In the Splitting Hairs variation, the DB1 hair uppercut is great for beginning long juggle combos after amplifying. This being an uppercut though, it is extremely unsafe on block and should only be used mid-combo, or sparingly as an anti-air. It is about as unsafe as some fans feel after the backlash after Sindel's new retcon to her story.
Her DB4 special is her preferred combo ender, causing a hard knockdown and allowing Sindel to make her approach and mix up the opponent.
Splitting Hairs Variation
Some great beginner combos for Splitting Hairs are:
23, DB1, AMP, F4, DB4
B2, F4, DB4
B2, F4, DB1, AMP, F4, DB4
F21, DB1, AMP, F4, DB4
Some of her Krushing Blow combos in this variation are as follows.
D2, KB, F4, DB4
BF2, KB, J3, F4, DB4
DB4, KB, F4, DB4
Lastly, a corner combo to round off this variation.
(In corner) 23, DB1, AMP, B2, 23, DB4
Loud and Clear Variation
Sindel's next variation, "Loud and Clear" focuses more on her scream abilities and the combos reflect as much. In this variation, Sindel loses access to her DB4 special, so BF1 takes the place for her main combo ender in this variation. Sindel's new Fatality is also a great compliment to this scream focused variation.
B2, F4, BF1
In this variation, Sindel also gains access to her flight mode, which greatly opens up her combo potential. After activating flight with DB2, press the button for the following jumping move quickly and then wait for Sindel to land before continuing the combo.
J2, DB2, J2, B2, F4, BF1
Sindel also gains access to other airborne moves like her air BF3 which lets her dash forward in the air following her ghost and attack the opponent.
J2, BF3, AMP, J2, B2, F4, BF1
J2, DB2, J2, BF3, AMP, J2, B2, F4, BF1
Her Krushing Blow combos in Loud and Clear are very similar to Splitting Hairs.
D2, KB, F4, BF1
Some though take advantage of her scream attack which can be powered up by holding down 2 before releasing, giving the opponent enough hitstun to dash up and do a follow-up, especially after a Krushing Blow.
Hold BF2, KB, Dash Forward, J2, DB2, B2, F4, BF1
DF2, KB, J2, DB2, J2, B2, F4, BF1
Royal Edenian
Her third and final variation, Royal Edenian, may have less combo variety but is still very powerful. At least you can always make even the least impressive variation more stylish with some of Sindel's new cosmetics.
B2, F4, BF1
This combo takes advantage of one of this variation's exclusive special moves that let Sindel pelt the field with projectiles from above.
B2, J3, BF3, AMP, F4, BF1
(In the air) BF3, AMP, 23, BF1
B2, J3, BF3, AMP, 23, BF1
Last but not least here is a combo into Fatal Blow to get you started into Training Mode
F4, DB1, AMP, F4, FB
With all these combos you have more than enough to start grinding out combos to prepare for the online matches ahead. You can also test out these new combos on the new Thanksgiving Towers of Time.
Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC and Sindel is available now if you own the Kombat Pass, and next Tuesday the 3rd if you do not.
