Steam is one of the most unique platforms, and is like the hub of the gaming universe. Even Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox fans browse the store even without a PC. It’s a good database to see upcoming games to dream of playing on consoles like the Switch.
One of the coolest features of Steam is the Wishlist system, and it actually matters. Publishers look at the numbers and determine what game fans are excited for, which in turn gets them a push in advertising. Granted, other digital platforms have Wishlist-like features too, but Steam is still the king. Right now, these are what Steam fans want to play the most.
Arena Breakout: Infinite

Arena Breakout: Infinite
- Released
- September 15, 2025
- ESRB
- n/a
- Genre(s)
- Extraction, FPS
Arena Breakout: Infinite is an upcoming extraction shooter that looks like Call of Duty. There’s nothing fanciful about the game in terms of design, but it seems like a solid extraction shooter regardless. When it launches, it will be free to play on PC and mobile platforms. The developer, Morefun Studios, is also working on a 3D fighting game that Steam fans should keep an eye on, called The Hidden Ones, also with no set date.
Arc Raiders
A Retro Extractor
ARC Raiders
- Released
- October 30, 2025
- Genre(s)
- Extraction, Shooter, Third-Person Shooter, Survival
Arc Raiders is another extraction shooter, but this one has a bit more whimsy to it. It has a 70s vibe with the cover art and designs, almost like an old novel anyone could find for less than a dollar now. It’s been hotly anticipated since it was announced, and it is set to release on October 30, 2025 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. On a final note, it’s being developed by Embark Studios, who also made The Finals, a multiplayer shooter game which everyone seems to enjoy.
Battlefield 6
Blow Stuff Up
Battlefield 6
- Released
- October 10, 2025
Battlefield 6 continues to dominate the charts thanks to the on-again, off-again Beta that players can’t get enough of. Between the PC and console versions, the game looks absolutely stunning even in online matches.
Upcoming Soulslike Games That Could Be The Next Bloodborne
Grin and bear it, Bloodborne isn’t returning anytime soon, but these games will be here shortly.
The sound design is great too, making players feel more engrossed in the chaotic gameplay between tank canons and gunfire. It will release on October 10, 2025 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, which will beat Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 to the punch.

- Hello Games
A lot of people probably forgot that Hello Games, makers of No Man's Sky, announced a new game in 2023. Light No Fire has not been shown since, but the glimpse that was revealed seemed promising. Instead of a galaxy of planets to explore, the game will feature a giant fantasy open-world to roam that is possibly endless. Given Hello Games’ track record, this one is probably a ways out, and the console platforms aren’t even nailed down.
Borderlands 4
Loot. The. Guns.
Borderlands 4
- Released
- September 12, 2025
Borderlands 4 is fast approaching with its September 12, 2025 release date. This one is a no-brainer since fans haven’t received a new Borderlands since 2022, including spinoffs, and they are ready to start looting and shooting again. There are some notable changes to the gameplay, given that the world will now be more open and classes are even more dynamic. PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S players can all enjoy the game together soon.
Deadlock
Valve Is Making A Game?
- Genre(s)
- Shooter, MOBA
Deadlock is the most mysterious game on the list because there’s not much to go on. Seemingly, the only reason it’s part of the top tier of Steam’s Wishlist is because it’s being made by Valve, which is a rarity nowadays.
Exciting Upcoming Games With 4-Player Co-Op
From Borderlands 4 to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, 2025 has some amazing 4-player co-op games on the horizon.
The only trailer shown was of an alleyway, to announce the game’s existence, but Valve has shared character art as recently as August 20th. It’s being described as a MOBA shooter, there is no release date plan, and no other platforms besides PC are known.

Subnautica 2 is still being listed as 2026 even though it’s currently going through some rough development waters, pun intended. Fans of the original are still hopeful they can play this one soon on PC and Xbox Series X/S. Like the original, players can explore a vast array of biomes under the ocean passively, or they can scan life to collect data. It’s a scuba simulator, essentially with survival elements and one of the prettiest underwater games in recent memory.
Hollow Knight: Silksong
The Time Is Nigh
Hollow Knight: Silksong
- Released
- September 4, 2025
Hollow Knight: Silksong was announced in 2019, and its place in the hearts of fans has not died down since. The original game was a life-changing Metroidvania for some, just like Undertale was a moving RPG. At long last, the wait will be over on September 4, 2025, when it will release on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Switch 2, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Not only that, Hollow Knight: Silksong will be part of Xbox Game Pass, so a good majority of the gaming community will unite that weekend. Say goodbye to family and friends for a while.
