Gamers who buy an MSI gaming laptop may be eligible to grab a free copy of Diablo 4 and its expansion, Vessel of Hatred. Blizzard’s action RPG has received a fairly significant overhaul since its somewhat rocky launch in June 2023, drawing back players who had turned to other diversions. After much work on the part of the developers, who have responded positively to player feedback, Diablo 4 is now sitting at a “Mostly Positive” review rating on Steam.

A new season for the game kicked off on October 8, and players have been vocal about their appreciation for some of the changes introduced in Diablo 4 Season 6. Among these was the addition of eight difficulty levels, four each for Standard and Torment play, as well as adjustments to the game’s Paragon system. Stats were revised, each class got a new board, and the number of Paragon Points was increased from 200 to 300, all changes that players seem generally pleased with.

For those who perhaps haven’t already jumped into Diablo 4 or might like to give a copy as a gift, MSI and Blizzard have announced an exciting collaboration. Between November 1 and December 31, 2024, the purchase of an eligible MSI gaming laptop will also net a copy of both Diablo 4 and its first expansion, Vessel of Hatred, which was released on October 7.

It’s not yet clear which laptops specifically are eligible for the giveaway, though MSI has clarified that the purchased device must have one of the latest Intel Core Ultra or AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processors, as well as an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop graphics card or higher, to be eligible.

The action role-playing game, which launched with support for DLSS 3, has been praised for its graphics, and ray tracing features were added to Diablo 4 in March. All of that is available in a game whose recommended GPU specifications are only an NVIDIA GTX 970, Intel Arc A750, or AMD Radeon RX 470. So whichever MSI gaming laptop is purchased for this offer will be more than powerful enough to render Blizzard’s dungeon crawler in all its gory glory.

Diablo 4’s first expansion, Vessel of Hatred, introduced the new jungle region of Nahantu for players to wreak havoc in, as well as a new storyline to follow, PVP co-op end-game content, and a sixth class, the Spiritborn. Vessel of Hatred also added a number of awesome-looking mounts, like The Duskwalker.
