MultiVersus' 1.01 patch has launched, introducing a number of balance adjustments and fixes that should provide players with a fairer and more enjoyable experience. However, MultiVersus fans may be disappointed to learn that some of the announced changes have not yet been implemented and will instead be added in a future update.
MultiVersus is in full swing now, after having been introduced to gamers in open beta only to be taken away a while later. The game saw significant downtime while the developers worked on it, adding new characters, stages, and fixing problems that were seen during the beta phase. However, like with any fighting game, balance is constantly being re-evaluated, and that means regular patches.
MultiVersus: All Currencies and How to Get Them
There are four main currencies in MultiVersus, and here is how to get them.
MultiVersus has now released its 1.01 patch, which makes a number of changes to existing fighters and some optimization changes to improve performance on Xbox Series X/S devices. However, the biggest change some fans may have been hoping for hasn't been implemented, as Iron Giant is still unavailable to play. The developer, Player First Games, explained that it's been listening to players on social media platforms and that Iron Giant is being actively retooled. The developer says that fans can expect to learn more about the return of Iron Giant within a week's time.
The developer has already announced a number of changes for Iron Giant, which primarily focus on limiting its ability to chain attacks endlessly. On certain attacks, Iron Giant's ground side attack jab hitbox has been reduced, the aerial neutral attack final strike will knock back enemies, and final hit damage on Iron Giant's Rage Mode Up Special has been reduced. However, players should expect more changes to be implemented before he actually returns to the game.
In addition to individual character adjustments, players can now also test all playable characters in Training Mode regardless of whether they own them. This should help fans to discover whether they like how a fighter plays before having to spend money. Additionally, Battlepass XP will get a boost, as MultiVersus Battlepass XP will now be rewarded after PvP matches, not just events and missions.
Fans of the title are likely glad to know that MultiVersus' developers are listening. This patch should help to iron out some of the existing issues with the game, but it's only the beginning, as fans can expect more changes to come beyond Iron Giant's adjustments. The developer is already teasing updates fans can expect, like end of game stats and adjustable input buffer settings.
