Modern Warfare 3 may have a great Zombies mode with hordes of zombies to eliminate and loot to acquire, but some things have not been explained in great detail. Unfortunately, many players do not know how to exfil once they have found good loot. For those struggling, this guide will illustrate how players can pull off a successful extraction and will also provide some other useful information on the process.

How To Exfil In Modern Warfare 3 Zombies

Players must meet a couple of requirements to pull off a successful exfil or extraction, like locating the exfil marker. Keeping this in mind, here is a step-by-step guide on how players can exfil in MW3 Zombies:

Locate the exfil marker on the map, represented by a blue humanoid icon next to an exit.
Head to the exfil marker location.
After reaching the location, players can call for a helicopter.
Players will need to wait a minute before the helicopter arrives, and they will need to defend their position from zombies.
Once the helicopter arrives, players have 35 seconds to get on board. If the player fails to get on the helicopter, the helicopter will leave without them.

Players should wait until the countdown timer reaches five seconds before getting on the helicopter to have a better chance of success, albeit they are still at risk of being swarmed by zombies. Another great way to exfil successfully involves calling a helicopter and hopping into a vehicle to drive around until the countdown timer reaches five seconds. This strategy is effective if players do not have upgraded weapons or want to avoid using their equipment to clear out zombies.

Exfil Rewards

After a successful exfil, players will get the following rewards:

Players can save the weapons they had on them during exfil. The weapons will be available on the loadout screen for later use.
Apart from the XP obtained from Contracts, Loot Containers, Zombie Kills, and Mercenary Kills, players are awarded 1000 bonus XP. Additionally, any Essence Value will be converted to bonus XP automatically.
