My Hero Academia is preparing to finally say goodbye to fans in great style. The final season will be released in October 2025, but the franchise is preparing a lot of things for fans to enjoy the series until the last minute.

Japanese fans will have many events to enjoy until My Hero Academia Season 8 premieres (and maybe even during its broadcast), and among them is an official artbook titled My Hero Academia Ultra Artworks.

Kohei Horikoshi Unveils Special My Hero Academia Artwork

Two new pieces of artwork drawn by Horikoshi have been released to celebrate a new My Hero Academia exhibition.

My Hero Academia Ultra Artworks Release Date

My Hero Academia Ultra Artworks will be released on June 4, 2025. A fanbook titled Final Fanbook Ultra Age will be released almost a month prior to the artbook, on May 2 — despite the name, fanbooks are official databooks that usually contain exclusive interviews and other information about the series.

The artbook includes several pieces of artwork created by Kohei Horikoshi during the manga's 10-year run, as well as exclusive information and commentary on behind-the-scenes stories and the creative process behind each artwork. The cover, shown above, was recently unveiled and it is a brand-new illustration.

Actually, the fanbook and the artbook were originally scheduled for 2024, but they have been pushed back to 2025. Unfortunately, there is no information about if either the artbook or the fanbook will ever be released in English, but international fans can at least buy the book in many online stores — of course, all the exclusive information in the book will be in Japanese.

My Hero Academia Exhibition Set For June 2025

In addition to the artbook, a My Hero Academia art exhibition will open in June 2025. It will run from June 21 to August 31. Visitors will be able to see original manga manuscripts and sketches, as well as anime storyboards and special anime videos (probably created for the exhibition). According to Horikoshi himself, the exhibition was planned not only to please fans, but also for those who have never read or watched the series to have a good time and better understand the process of creating a manga.

Furthermore, they may also reveal exclusive information about the upcoming Final Season at the exhibition, especially on the opening or the closing day, since it will end almost a month before the release of the eighth season. The Final Season will probably stream exclusively on Crunchyroll at the same time as the Japanese broadcast, just like the previous seasons of the series. The English dub may also be released simultaneously with the subbed version.

My Hero Academia is available to stream on Crunchyroll, subbed and dubbed in many languages.

In My Hero Academia, some humans have superpowers called quirks. Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, is not one of them. Deku has always idolized heroes like the number one hero, All Might, and since he was a child, he has always wanted to be a hero. However, his lack of a quirk has always held him back, but a chance encounter with All Might after discovering a classmate in danger sets Deku on the path to becoming a true hero. My Hero Academia centers around Deku and a class of heroes-in-training at UA. This school shapes young quirk users into future heroes through fake rescue missions, combat training, and other hero-tempering tasks. With young Deku inheriting the "One-For-All" quirk, he will learn what it means to be a true hero while facing off with dastardly supervillains.
