In a series full of powerful heroes and villains, All Might still manages to stand out as the strongest of the bunch. Prime All Might was a force to be reckoned with. As strong as All For One was, All Might was definitely the more powerful of the two back before Deku’s story in My Hero Academia kicked off. But as the series went on, All Might gradually became less relevant as a fighter.

By the very end of the manga, the old guard that fans grew familiar with throughout the series run were r eplaced by a new generation of heroes. While not necessarily stronger than All Might was in his heyday, this new generation is more than capable of carrying on All Might’s legacy.

Lemillion – The No.1 Ranked Pro Hero

Nighteye’s Intended Heir Comes Out on Top

It’s easy to see why Sir Nighteye wanted Lemillion to succeed All Might. His cheery demeanor and fighting spirit are very reminiscent of All Might’s hero persona, and his powerful quirk would’ve made a great addition to One For All. But with Deku getting the nod over him, Lemillion was left to forge his own path.

Despite losing his quirk while trying to save Eri during the Shie Hassaikai raid, Lemillion does manage to get his powers back during the Paranormal Liberation War Arc. In the time between the finale and the epilogue, Lemillion seems to have lived up to his old mentor’s expectations and manages to snag the No. 1 spot on the Hero Billboard Chart JP that All Might held for so long.

Mt. Lady – The No.3 Ranked Pro Hero

A Larger-Than-Life Personality to Go With Her Quirk

One of the first heroes introduced in the series, Mt. Lady certainly leaves an impression on those around her. While her Gigantification quirk makes her hard to ignore, her personality is what really makes her stand out. Most would associate heroes with virtuous traits, but Mt. Lady’s ambitions are a little more self-serving. She’s incredibly egotistical, somewhat lazy, and obsessed with the fame and attention that comes with being a pro hero.

These aren’t the best traits to have as a hero, but it seems that her hunger for fame and drive to be successful pay off greatly by the epilogue. Mt. Lady retains the No. 3 spot in the Hero Billboard Chart JP, having shot up from the 23rd spot she occupied pre-timeskip. Her motivations might not be great, but she did turn out to be a great hero.

Shoto – The No.2 Ranked Pro Hero

Endeavor’s Legacy Lives On In His Son

Fans could tell that Shoto was destined for big things since his introduction early on in the manga. Despite a tumultuous childhood, Shoto managed to overcome his issues as a student at U.A. High School and came out of the final war as one of the most promising up-and-coming hero prospects.

After the final war, Shoto takes over his father’s agency and starts to gradually step out of his shadow. His efforts earn him the No. 2 spot in the Hero Billboard Chart JP – the spot that Endeavor occupied for much of the series.

Deku – The No.4 Ranked Pro Hero

All Might’s Legacy Lives On

Fans had plenty to say about how Deku’s journey came to a close by the end of the My Hero Academia manga. Though the epilogue did leave some fans happier than others, some felt that the series’ main character never reached his full potential. By the end of the series, Deku is left quirkless due to his intense battle with Shigaraki. Now a teacher dedicating his time to shaping the next generation of heroes, Deku’s new role does fit his personality and character arc well.

Thanks to his former classmates, Deku is given an armored suit similar to the one All Might wore during the final war by the man himself, allowing him to once again live out his dream of being a pro hero. Deku does manage to make the most of this new chance and manages to become the No. 4 ranked pro hero during the epilogue. With plenty of experience using multiple quirks thanks to his time with One For All, Deku is able to effectively get the most out of his suit and stand on par with regular quirk users.

Bakugo – The No.5 Ranked Pro Hero

A Once One-Dimensional Character Comes a Long Way

It’s not surprising to see that each of Class 1-A’s top three students would become the top heroes of their generation by the end of the story. But Bakugo’s most impressive feat isn’t reaching the top 5 in hero rankings by the epilogue. Instead, most fans love him due to how much he’s developed as a character.

Though his explosive personality is still there, Bakugo became a much more considerate, conscientious person as the series went on. The strong bonds he formed as a student definitely affected him for the better, as he stands as one of the most successful of his U.A. Classmates. As the one who managed to best All For One, Bakugo proved himself to be one of the strongest heroes by the end of the series and that seems to have carried over into his professional hero career.

In My Hero Academia, some humans have superpowers called quirks. Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, is not one of them. Deku has always idolized heroes like the number one hero, All Might, and since he was a child, he has always wanted to be a hero. However, his lack of a quirk has always held him back, but a chance encounter with All Might after discovering a classmate in danger sets Deku on the path to becoming a true hero. My Hero Academia centers around Deku and a class of heroes-in-training at UA. This school shapes young quirk users into future heroes through fake rescue missions, combat training, and other hero-tempering tasks. With young Deku inheriting the "One-For-All" quirk, he will learn what it means to be a true hero while facing off with dastardly supervillains.
