The eldest daughter of the Toga family, Himiko Toga was born with a unique quirk known as transform, which unfortunately or fortunately created her villain identity in the My Hero Academia series. Born with an intense fascination for blood, Toga was fascinated with blood from a young age but hid this secret because of society and her parent's disgust. It was only later during middle school that her lust for blood awakened when she saw bruises and blood on a boy, this sparked something in her.
Although she tried holding her feelings back she was overwhelmed by a strong desire to suck his blood, this resulted in her attacking him with a blade and sucking his blood with a straw while enjoying herself, this is when her villain arc was born. She later went into hiding and was responsible for many attacks where victims had died of bloodletting, escaping the police and pro-heroes while feeding on her dark desires. She later joined the League of Villains.
My Hero Academia: Is U.A. Really The Best of the Best?
U.A. May be among the most well-known hero schools, but does that make it the best of the bunch?
Personality
Most of the time, Toga is seen to be constantly cheerful and always smiling even though she had killed someone, her vicious personality makes her a powerful foe as even in the face of danger she still smiles. More than anything else, Toga values her peers and is compassionate when it comes to the people she cares about, especially when she realized Twice was killed during the Paranormal Liberation war, causing her to go on a rampage of anger to avenge her fallen team member. Toga is also a strong believer in Tomura's philosophy, which is to destroy everything that he despises, regardless of motive. Another reason why Toga is such a destructive character is because of her psychotic nature as spirals to the point she believes that her everyone is out to reject her just like her parents did.
Toga also has an unpredictable nature in which she switches between being bubbly to a sudden violent and sadistic character, this unpredictability makes her a dangerous character when it comes to the progression of the series as she grows to become one of the most powerful members in the League of Villains. Toga also struggles with feelings of acceptance, isolation, and rejection as most of the time, her person of interest usually does not feel the same way about her.
Quirk - Transform
Toga's transform quirk is a dangerous and powerful quirk that gives her ability to shape-shift into her enemies if she manages to get her hands on their blood, and is also able to mimic their voice. The downside to this quirk is that it can wear off if she hasn't consumed enough blood of the person she transformed into. The more blood she drinks, the longer she can stay in her transformed state, this makes her perfect for infiltrating hideouts and with missions that require stealth. Thanks to her quirk, she is able to ambush her opponents and surprise them with her quick reflexes and speed.
My Hero Academia: What Would Have Happened If Deku Was Born With a Quirk?
Not being born with a quirk might've been the best thing that happened to Deku. But what would he be like if he wasn't quirkless?
Toga is also able to use the quirk of the person she transforms into if she knows enough information about the quirk. The quirk works even better if the person she transforms into is someone whom she values deeply. This is seen when she uses her good friend Twice's quirk - double, allowing her to create multiple clones of herself while transfigured as Twice. In terms of carry-ons, Toga carries around knives which she uses to attack her opponents. When wearing her costume, she is seen carrying around a blood-sucking machine that allows her to drink the blood of an opponent after jabbing them with needles.
Toga is also a master of deception, she may appear to helpless just to lure her foes in and attack them with the element of surprise, she is also resourceful as she can make use of the surrounding environment to gain the upper hand. Her obsession with blood also plays a key role as she enjoys drinking the blood of her victims giving her this morbid and sadistic element to her fighting style. When it comes to fighting, Toga also knows when to back off when at a disadvantage, she chooses to strategically retreat as she values her own survival and is willing to come back stronger when she has a plan.
Nevertheless, Toga's strength in the My Hero Academia series is mostly derived from her unique quirk, unpredictability, and adaptability when it comes to combat situations, making her a powerful foe to battle. Even though she may not possess a vast amount of physical power, she makes up for it with her quirk, making her a fan favorite and a memorable character in the series.
