Over the last decade, My Hero Academia has been a part of many anime fans’ lives, especially as it rose to fill in the gap left behind by the likes of Naruto and Bleach. My Hero Academia has become iconic, and right now, it is one of the most popular anime of all time. Sadly, My Hero Academia’s manga ended late last year, while its final season, MHA season 8, is airing right now. With such a short final season ahead and no more new content from the creator Horikoshi, fans are now looking into new series, and Horikoshi himself might have picked the best one for fans to flock to. This new series is none other than Kagurabachi, as recently, that series had a collaboration with MHA.

My Hero Academia Ended, and a New Manga Rises

  • Kagurabachi and MHA Get a Collab
  • Kagurabachi is Set Up To Be a Great Replacement For MHA

My Hero Academia’s manga concluded in 2024 and left a huge hole in Weekly Shonen Jump that's hard to fill. This was especially bad as it ended back-to-back with another major Shonen Jump series, Jujutsu Kaisen. Weekly Shonen Jump only had One Piece carrying it then, but now, new manga series are quickly gaining popularity. The next generation of manga is here, and Kagurabachi is one of the new Shonen Jump series that is growing sporadically in popularity, with fans excited to see the full potential of this series.

While it is no surprise to know that Kagurabachi is a worthy replacement for MHa, what many might not know is the connection between the two series. Kagurabachi’s very first chapter was overseen by Horikoshi, MHA’s creator. This kickstarted the series on a positive note, and now, the two series have even collaborated. Horikoshi drew a new illustration featuring Chihiro, and Kagurabachi’s creator, Takeru Hokazono, illustrated MHA’s main character, Izuku Midoriya. This was an amazing exchange, and fans hope for more of this in the future, as Kagurabachi takes the reins as Shonen Jump’s most promising new series.

Kagurabachi Will Only Grow in Popularity

Kagurabachi Will Get an Anime Soon

Kagurabachi is definitely a popular manga, but overall, it can’t compare to the big hits of Weekly Shonen Jump right now. While the series sells well, what it really needs for a boost of popularity is, of course, an anime adaptation. While an anime adaptation hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, all signs are pointing to one being in the works by Cygames Pictures. Cygames Pictures has a great track record, and fans are sure they will be able to do justice to the series and bring more fans in from all around the world.

The My Hero Academia manga was concluded. The story features 431 chapters for fans to read. All these chapters can be found on Manga Plus. When it comes to the anime, this series is still awaiting its final season, which will be released later this year. The series can be watched on Crunchyroll.

In My Hero Academia, some humans have superpowers called quirks. Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, is not one of them. Deku has always idolized heroes like the number one hero, All Might, and since he was a child, he has always wanted to be a hero. However, his lack of a quirk has always held him back, but a chance encounter with All Might after discovering a classmate in danger sets Deku on the path to becoming a true hero. My Hero Academia centers around Deku and a class of heroes-in-training at UA. This school shapes young quirk users into future heroes through fake rescue missions, combat training, and other hero-tempering tasks. With young Deku inheriting the "One-For-All" quirk, he will learn what it means to be a true hero while facing off with dastardly supervillains.
