Kagurabachi and My Hero Academia recently had a collaboration, and Horikoshi even oversaw the series’s first chapter storyboard, something fans were shocked to discover.

My Hero Academia is one of the big series that ended last year. It ended alongside Jujutsu Kaisen, another big Jump hit, and that definitely hit the magazine, as well as the fans, very hard. In the absence of two great series, there’s one thing that fans know for sure, and it’s that there is a dire need for good new series. Thankfully, Kagurabachi has proven to be just that, and even Horikoshi agrees.
Kagurabachi started about a year before the end of My Hero Academia, and it became a hit with all fans very quickly. The series started a bit weak, but it picked up the pace, and got more interesting with each passing week, with her author himself evolving greatly as well. In fact, it might just be Weekly Shonen Jump’s most successful new manga series.

Curiously, Kagurabachi and My Hero Academia have some connections that fans didn’t know about previously. Recently, it was revealed that Horikoshi, MHA’s creator, actually oversaw the storyboard of Kagurabachi’s first chapter, which is quite interesting to know.
Not only that, but the two series also just had a collaboration. Horikoshi drew an illustration for Kagurabachi, and Kagurabachi’s creator, Takeru Hokazono, did one for MHA. The two drew each other’s main characters, Deku and Chihiro. Fans can check the illustrations here:

Kagurabachi Is Definitely Set Up To Be A Big Hit
With so much promotion for Kagurabachi, fans believe this series will be what succeeds My Hero Academia, and it certainly looks to be the case. While the two series are very different, one thing that is certain is that Kagurabachi is being set up to be a huge hit for Shonen Jump. Its popularity is only going to grow, especially as it will soon get an anime adaptation. The new anime adaptation will propel its popularity and maybe someday make it as big as MHA.
