As fans know very well, Deku ended up losing the One For All at the end of the series, but that didn't put an end to his ambition of becoming a Great Hero. In fact, Deku is still a Pro Hero, and he can even become the Number 1 Hero of Japan.

Deku Has A New Hero Suit With Tremendous Power

  • Deku Got A Nea Armor

The ending of My Hero Academia was bittersweet for Deku and all his fans. While he certainly did go on to save the world, he lost something big when this happened, and that is the power of One For All. To ensure the victory of the Heroes, Deku sacrificed the One For All, and with it, he was recognized as one of the greatest heroes of all time. Unfortunately, Deku losing his Quirk also meant that his dream of becoming a Hero had now been shattered.

Stand proud, young Midoriya! You've earned this as well. — All Might to Deku

8 years later, when Deku was a teacher at UA, he was suddenly greeted by All Might and he received a massive gift from him. Against all odds, Deku was given a Hero Armor, similar to the one All Might used against All For One, only far better. This armor allowed Deku to become a Hero again, and he's used it ever since.

Deku's Suit Can Mimic The Powers Of One For All

Fans might be wondering what exactly Deku's Hero Armor does in battle, however, Horikoshi hasn't given a glimpse of him in combat so far. That said, he has revealed a ton of exciting information about his Hero Armor in the latest My Hero Academia Ultra Age Fanbook. Here's what Horikoshi had to say when asked about Deku's armor powers:

Question: How does the armor that Deku received from Class A function?

Horikoshi: It tries to mimic various OFA abilities, for example, it has cable extensions that function like his ability Black Whip. It also serves as a prototype where he can try to combine various abilities.

As is quite evident from what Horikoshi said, Deku's armor can copy the One For All abilities very well, and it can also allow him to combine them. This means that, in theory, it is just like the One For All itself, which means that Deku should be close to his prime power level at this point.

Can Pro Hero Deku Become The Number One Hero?

Given that Deku's new armor allows him to use all the powers he had with the One For All, it is only fair to assume that he can become the future Number One Hero. Deku only recently became a Hero once again, but he's already climbed up to the spot of Number 4 Hero, even above Bakugo. Deku will most definitely climb the ranks even more, and eventually, go head-to-head with Shoto and Mirio for the spot of Number 1.
